Double Homicide
In some instances, abortion is killing more than just the unborn child. The deaths of three would-be mothers have been linked to the abortion pill ru486.
The Food and Drug Administration (fda) has also reported 676 other adverse events that have been linked to the pill. These reports range from women experiencing dizziness and sickness to women being hospitalized. Seventy-two women have bled so much after taking the pill that they needed blood transfusions. The fda has also issued new warnings that the ru486 pill may cause life-threatening bacterial infections.
Danco Laboratories, the company that produces Mifeprex, stands behind its product and states that it is safe and effective. There is a warning on the box, but the fda will expand it to include information about bacterial infections and bleeding. Since the fda approved the pill in 2000, 360,000 American women have used it.
