Scoffers in the Last Days
Listen to the Trumpet Daily live each day at 7:00 am (CST) on Trumpet Radio.
Why do so many professing Christians today scoff at the idea of Jesus Christ supernaturally intervening in the affairs of this world?
One reason is the influence of science—specifically the theory of evolution—on mainstream churches. Most theologians today have been educated at top secular universities—at schools that reject the authority of God’s Word and that rely solely on human reasoning. And so scholars today, including many Bible scholars, have come to view the Bible as literature that might have some historical value, but not as the infallible Word of God.
Another reason traditional Christians reject the many prophecies about God’s soon-coming Kingdom is because of the many false predictions throughout history. Because of these failures, many people, over time, have developed a skeptical, cynical attitude toward Bible prophecy. They scoff at the prophecies of God.
This spirit of scoffing, as discussed on this episode of the Trumpet Daily, is actually a fulfillment of several Bible prophecies about the latter days.
