No More Special Treatment for Cuban Refugees and the Myth of America’s Invincible Military

Listen to the Trumpet Daily radio program that aired on January 13, 2017.

Throughout his presidency, United States President Barack Obama routinely offered concessions to authoritarian regimes without demanding anything in return. And with just seven days left in office, he’s done it again. Mr. Obama gave in to demands from Cuba to stop the “wet foot, dry foot” policy for Cuban refugees, effectively closing the U.S. to those fleeing prison in Cuba. The move is all the more disingenuous when you consider that America’s southern border with Mexico has been left wide open. On today’s show, Stephen Flurry discusses this latest decision from the outgoing president and also why the U.S. military isn’t as strong as most people believe it to be.
