When Ronald Reagan was sworn into office in 1981, he had the Bible open to 2 Chronicles 7:14, “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” America’s new vice president, Mike Pence, will be sworn in using that same Bible, open to that same verse. The context of this verse also describes what will happen to a nation that turns away from God. It’s a message many people don’t want to hear, but God says emphatically that these scriptures apply to our nations today. On today’s show, Stephen Flurry explains the profound depth of this verse and the tremendous blessings that come from obeying it.
