“The Republicans got rolled,” Charles Krauthammer said when the $1.1 trillion spending bill was made public yesterday. Despite having the majority in the House and Senate, Republicans made virtually no gain in getting funds for many of the projects President Donald Trump promised along the campaign trail. The bill was so bad for Republicans that Democrats were actually celebrating it. Many believed Trump would be the answer to America’s debt addiction, but it now looks like this an irreversible habit.
