Israel Election: Can Bibi Come Back?
Israelis head to the polls in their fifth parliamentary election since 2019. The main candidate from the left is interim Prime Minister Yair Lapid. His opponent, former Prime Minister Benjamin “Bibi” Netanyahu, Israel’s longest-serving prime minister, hopes to gain a record sixth term.
The last Israeli election was in March 2021. Lapid came together with the right-wing Naftali Bennett, but the coalition soon fell apart.
Netanyahu’s Likud party is leading in the polls, but they’re too close to call confidently.
Israel, the UK and the U.S. are all in political turmoil. Trumpet editor in chief Gerald Flurry wrote: “The fact that these three countries are falling apart at the same time—and in very similar ways—is deeply significant. The link between these nations points directly to a profound secret in Bible prophecy.”
However: The Bible also indicates that all three countries will have a respite from this fall together. This could mean that Netanyahu will return to power.
