Joe Biden Attacks Gun Ownership, Vows to Push for Assault Weapons Ban

Now that Republicans have won the United States House of Representatives, Democrats are rushing to pass legislation before the 118th Congress convenes. On November 24, Joe Biden called for “stricter gun laws” after mass shootings in Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Chesapeake, Virginia. After meeting with firefighters in Massachusetts, Biden called for banning semiautomatic weapons.

Second Amendment: Biden wants Congress to ban semiautomatic weapons with high-capacity magazines as it did in 1994 when it passed the Federal Assault Weapons Ban. This ban expired and was not renewed because it did not have a significant effect on firearm homicides.

• Plus, it violated the Second Amendment of the U.S. Constitution, which states, “A well-regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.”

American tyranny: The radical left’s gun control proposals are not really about keeping guns away from criminals, who can buy guns on the black market. It’s about keeping guns away from law-abiding citizens.

You do not have to know a lot about history to realize why such proposals are dangerous. Nazi Germany, Communist Cuba, socialist Venezuela, the Soviet Union and many other dictatorships have relied on the most proven form of suppression to control people. And the radical left in America is showing its tendency to force its will on the public.
