It is hard to fathom how much money the United States government spends every year. In fiscal year 2022, the government spent $6.3 trillion. If that amount were physically stacked with $1 bills, it would reach the moon and one quarter of the way back. The government spent nearly $12 million per minute! That resulted in adding $1.4 trillion to the deficit. The soaring debt alone constitutes a national security threat.

It is not just the sheer amount of money spent that is shocking. In some ways, how the money is being spent is even more alarming. An analysis of the Biden administration’s 2022 budget reveals the destructive priorities of its agenda. If we follow the money, the true intention of the government will surface. “For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also” (Matthew 6:21).

The agenda of Barack Obama’s third term is being exposed: seeking to fundamentally transform America in every way imaginable, including through the extraordinary fiscal resources of the U.S. government.

Every budget is divided into two categories. The first is mandatory spending, which is funding for programs and commitments from prior laws or contracts (like Social Security and Medicare). The second is discretionary spending, which is initiatives and investments pursued by the government. This is determined through the yearly appropriations process by Congress and the president. Usually half of discretionary spending goes toward the military, and the other half goes to other programs.

How did the Joebama administration spend $6.3 trillion in 2022?

The Fiscal Data website for the U.S. Treasury breaks down the major expenditures:

• $1.2 trillion – Social Security
• $914 billion – Health care
• $865 billion – Income security
• $767 billion – National defense
• $755 billion – Medicare
• $677 billion – Education, Training, Employment and Social Services
• $475 billion – Net interest
• $274 billion – Veteran benefits and services
• $132 billion – Transportation
• $129 billion – General government
• $55 billion – Ukraine

A vast majority of the budget is automatically assigned to social programs: retirement, health care, insurance and employment programs. That is a whopping $4.4 trillion spent on keeping Americans afloat. In 2022, 70.6 percent of the budget was spent on socialist programs. This is a testament to how far the federal government has expanded into the lives of Americans and how far down the socialist path the U.S. has traveled. In 2021, 19 percent of Americans (63 million people) relied on welfare programs to survive, and over 67 million Americans use other safety net programs.

After national defense, the next major expenditure is interest payments on the national debt. This is about to take a massive hike in 2023 due to rising interest rates. These numbers paint a disturbing picture of the financial situation.

When these allocations are broken down into specific line items of what the money was spent on, the agenda becomes clear. Keep in mind the needs you and your community have, and how the radical-left government spent billions of dollars.

Why did the government spend billions on climate change and electric vehicles? Why did Joebama spend 10 times more on Ukrainian infrastructure than on American infrastructure? Why did the fbi, which has been persecuting political dissidents of Barack Obama, get $10 billion and the southern border wall zero? Why wasn’t the $55 billion sent to Ukraine to stop a Russian invasion used instead to stop the invasion at the southern border of illegal immigrants and Chinese fentanyl?

All of these woke, America-last priorities, even the massive spending on socialist programs, have one underlying goal: control and change. The agenda of the Joebama administration is to complete a Communist transformation of the United States. The late Herbert W. Armstrong warned about this Communist infiltration in 1956: “It’s a kind of warfare we don’t understand or know how to cope with. It uses every diabolical means to weaken us from within, sapping our strength, perverting our morals, sabotaging our educational system, wrecking our social structure, destroying our spiritual and religious life, weakening our industrial and economic power, demoralizing our armed forces, and finally, after such infiltration, overthrowing our government by force and violence!” With out-of-control spending and target funding, the Communists are weakening our economic power and society.

The radical left is using massive spending to push through programs and push lifestyles that undermine America’s foundation. The Constitution was created to work in tandem with traditional Judeo-Christian values, largely based on the Bible. If those biblical values are removed, it’s much easier to overthrow the law of the land and fundamentally transform America. They are also seeking to impoverish and weaken the middle class, what Marxism calls the Bourgeois, in order to overthrow the existing order of capitalist society. Climate change, green energy and underspending on critical infrastructure all contribute to that end.

The 2022 spending exposes this two-pronged agenda. Yet the newly passed $1.7 trillion omnibus spending package doubles down on these goals, and it was passed with the aid of the Republican Party. The package includes another $45 billion for Ukraine, millions for transgender programs, $1 billion for climate change initiatives, $400 million for the border security of Middle East nations, and nothing for the southern border.

America cannot long survive if this spending continues. Fiscal and moral bankruptcy are on the horizon. Yet the Bible prophesies there will be a temporary resurgence in the United States. 2 Kings 14:26-28 say an end-time type of King Jeroboam ii will be used by God to save America from this radical-left agenda. This will result in a brief, temporary resurgence. God is exposing the corruption, and He will give a temporary reprieve in order to give you, the reader, one last chance to repent!

Trumpet editor in chief Gerald Flurry writes in America Under Attack: “America’s temporary resurgence gives people a window of time to repent, but that window will not remain open indefinitely. Eventually, we will face consequences for not heeding God’s warning. … God is full of mercy and love, and quick to forgive and protect. But to receive God’s forgiveness and protection, the people of America—and any person of any race or nation—must repent. We must stop sinning, stop rebelling against God’s law, and stop resisting God.”

Irreparable fiscal damage has been done to the United States, but you as an individual can still change and turn to God. Proverbs 11:28 says, “He that trusteth in his riches shall fall: but the righteous shall flourish as a branch.” America’s wealth of resources and money won’t save it from demise, neither will our own personal riches. It is only by repenting, turning to God in obedience to His law, that we can be protected and prosper.
