Putin: Russia and China Are a Model of Cooperation

Russia’s relationship with China is the best it has ever been, according to a statement made by Russian President Vladimir Putin during a video conference on December 30 with Chinese General Secretary Xi Jinping.

In the context of growing geopolitical tensions, the importance of the Russian-Chinese strategic partnership as a stability factor is growing …. As both of us pointed out, our current relations are enjoying the best period in their history and can be regarded as a model of cooperation between major powers in the 21st century.

  • During the conference call, Putin invited Xi Jinping to Moscow in early spring to continue to bolster cooperation. Xi did not officially agree to the visit, but it would showcase China’s support for Russia despite the Ukraine war.

This will demonstrate to the whole world the strength of Russian-Chinese ties on key issues.

  • Putin also remarked that Russia and China’s bilateral trade increased by 25 percent this year, with Russia’s gas supplies to China growing 18 percent and agricultural trade climbing 36 percent. He said he wants to increase supplies even more.
  • Finally, Putin told Xi that China’s help in “ensuring the security of our countries” is necessary and that they “aim to strengthen cooperation between the armed forces of Russia and China.”

We share the same views on the causes, course and logic of the ongoing transformation of the global geopolitical landscape, in the face of unprecedented pressure and provocations from the West.

Prophesied friends: The Bible explains that these two leaders are not just business partners; they will be comrades and brothers-in-arms in war. Ezekiel 38 shows that Russia will lead an alliance of Asian nations with China as its main partner. Revelation 9:16 warns that this alliance will assemble an army of 200 million men. The currently deepening Russia-China cooperation is creating the conditions for this massive military machine to emerge.
