Britain Trains Japan’s Military
Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida and British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak signed a Reciprocal Access Agreement on January 11, with the intent to train and strengthen Japan’s military.
- The Reciprocal Access Agreement allows both nations to deploy troops on each other’s territory, making it easier to hold joint military exercises.
- The purpose of the joint exercises is to train Japanese troops to be able to respond quickly to possible attacks.
The fear of Japan is that they may be confronted with a fait accompli with, let’s say, the Chinese seizure of some uninhabited Japanese island, to which the Japanese at the moment are unable to respond adequately.

- In December 2022, British Armed Forces conducted war-game exercises with Japan’s Ground Self-Defense Force in central Japan.
- On December 9, Japan also agreed to join the UK and Italy in developing a world-class sixth-generation fighter jet that will optimize air-to-air combat.
Prophecy says: The United Kingdom, like the United States, is helping Japan abandon pacifism and build up its defense capabilities. But Bible prophecy shows that soon Japan’s firepower will be allied with that of Russia and China. Ezekiel 38 lists multiple East Asian nations that will come together in the end time, including references to Japan. Revelation 9:16 warns that this group of nations will form a military of 200 million soldiers and play a major role in the final world war. We wrote in our Trends article “Why the Trumpet Watches Japan’s March Toward Militarism”:
The Bible makes plain that an Asian superpower will very soon rise up, and it tells us that the resulting war—thanks partly to the participation of the Japanese war machine—will be the most devastating one mankind will ever have endured.
