Former Intel Official Knew Hunter Biden Laptop Was Real, Labeled It Russian Disinformation Anyway
A former top intelligence official who signed a letter condemning the Hunter Biden laptop scandal as Russian disinformation told the Australian on January 16 that he knew a “significant portion” of the Hunter Biden e-mails “had to be real.”
Douglas Wise, a former Defense Intelligence Agency deputy director, was one of 51 intel officials who signed this letter on Oct. 19, 2020—five days after the New York Post began a series of reports on Hunter Biden’s shady overseas business dealings. This letter alleged that “the arrival on the [United States] political scene of e-mails purportedly belonging to Vice President [Joe] Biden’s son Hunter, much of it related to his time serving on the board of the Ukrainian gas company Burisma, has all the classic earmarks of a Russian information operation.” Social media companies used this letter as an excuse to censor information about the laptop scandal until after Joe Biden was installed in the White House. But now Wise admits, “All of us figured that a significant portion of that content had to be real to make any Russian disinformation credible.”
Spygate hoax: Even though Wise held a significant position at the Defense Intelligence Agency when he signed this public letter, he was far from the most influential signatory. Former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, former Central Intelligence Agency Director John Brennan and former Defense Secretary Leon Panetta all knew the Hunter Biden e-mails were legitimate. Yet they were concerned that this scandal might hurt Joe Biden’s chances in the 2020 presidential election. So they drafted a letter to help bury the scandal until it was too late for the American people to do anything about it. The Media Research Center reported that, out of the 1,750 Biden voters it surveyed, 1 in 6 would not have voted for him if they had known about scandals suppressed by the media. Their strategy seems to have played out perfectly.
Bitter affliction: America’s government is evolving away from the constitutional republic it once was into an authoritarian technocracy run by bureaucrats, military leaders, intelligence agents, media moguls, tech entrepreneurs, Wall Street financiers and Chinese spies. The nation’s technocratic leaders censor free speech, rig elections, and arrest anyone who tries to stop them. The Bible says this loss of freedom is bitter affliction God allows to wake people up and show them how far they have strayed from His laws (2 Kings 14:26-28). This same passage also shows that God has a plan to save America temporarily, so people have a chance to repent of the sins that allowed such bitter affliction to take root. But the radical left’s control over the intelligence community has progressed to a point where it will take a miracle for this to occur.
