The 2SLGBTQI+ Conquest of Canada
Lesbian-gay-bisexual-transgender pride season is quickly becoming Canada’s celebration of national pride. Over the past three years, events celebrating traditional values have been relegated. Pride celebrations have dwarfed anything Canada has done for the monarchy or national holidays. Pride flags and merchandise are mixed in with Canada Day gear at many major stores. Catholic schools fly rainbow flags for the month of June. Small conservative towns in the most remote parts of Canada display pride flags throughout town, with rainbow-painted crosswalks.
The pride community and pride values are being permanently embedded into the culture and identity of Canada. In fact, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and most other government leaders believe accepting, promoting and embracing 2slgbtqi+ values is what defines you as Canadian.
There is not a culture war going on inside Canada. The 2slgbtqi+ side has already won. The federal government, Charter of Rights and Freedoms, courts, law and media are all aligned against religion, the Bible and the traditional family. These pillars of civilization are being systematically dismantled and blotted out. Canada is one step away from being a nation where there is no room for those who do not embrace the 2slgbtqi+ ideology.
How did Canada lose the culture war before it even knew it was fighting one?
Big Acronym, Small Group
What does the 2slgbtqi+ acronym actually mean? According to the Canadian government’s website, “2S: at the front, recognizes Two-Spirit people as the first 2SLGBTQI+ communities; L: Lesbian; G: Gay; B: Bisexual; T: Transgender; Q: Queer; I: Intersex, considers sex characteristics beyond sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression; +: is inclusive of people who identify as part of sexual and gender diverse communities, who use additional terminologies.”
According to Statistics Canada data from 2021, this acronym encapsulates around 1 million people in the country, which is now 2.5 percent of the population. “Over a period of 10 years, from 2006 to 2016, [same-sex couples] increased by 60.7 percent. By comparison, the number of opposite-sex couples increased by 9.6 percent from 2006 to 2016. This increase may be reflective, at least in part, of growing awareness and acceptance of sexual diversity in Canada.” This growing awareness and acceptance is not an accident. Like a frog in boiling water, Canada’s radical left elite have gradually steered the national landscape toward acceptance of this lifestyle.
All Roads Lead to Pierre Elliott Trudeau
Nearly every pivotal change to Canadian governance, law and culture can be traced back to Pierre Elliott Trudeau. This issue is no different. As justice minister in 1968, Trudeau introduced the Criminal Law Amendment Act, which would decriminalize homosexuality, abortion and contraception.
“I feel that it has knocked down a lot of totems and overridden a lot of taboos, and I feel that in that sense it is new,” Trudeau said. “It’s bringing the laws of the land up to contemporary society I think. Take this thing on homosexuality. I think the view we take here is that there’s no place for the state in the bedrooms of the nation.” On May 14, 1969, it was passed into law. This started a steady march to legalizing and protecting lgbtq lifestyles:
- In 1971, Quebec included sexual orientation in its Human Rights Code.
- In 1978, the 1953 law banning homosexuals from entering the country was repealed.
- In 1992, the Haig and Birch v. Canada case before the Ontario Court of Appeals started the idea that the equality rights guarantee in section 15 of the Charter of Rights and Freedoms includes protection of discrimination against sexual orientation.
- In 1995, the landmark Egan v. Canada Supreme Court Case extended constitutional protections of lesbian and gay partnerships under section 15 of the charter. One year later, in 1996, Bill C-33 added sexual orientation to the Canadian Human Rights Act.
- In 1999, Ontario’s definition of “spouse” as a person of the opposite sex was ruled unconstitutional. All provincial laws must provide equal benefits to same-sex couples.
- On June 28, 2005, same-sex “marriage” was legalized in Canada.
- In 2013, Bill C-279 passed, which extended human rights protections to transgender and transsexual people.
- In 2017, Bill C-16 passed, which updated the Criminal Code and Human Rights Act to protect gender identity and expression from discrimination, hate publications and genocide.
In a little over 50 years, Canada has gone from a nation outlawing homosexuality and transsexualism to a nation that guarantees and enshrines that lifestyle in its Constitution. The last bulwark against this movement is the traditional family, but this has also been completely dismantled. Now Justin Trudeau is finishing what his father started and making Canada a nation that outlaws any speech or belief that opposes the 2slgbtqi+ movement.
Who Is Under Attack?
On June 8, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced a new partnership between the government of Canada and Rainbow Railroad, a non-profit that helps lgbtq people relocate from places where there is “systemic, state-enabled homophobia and transphobia.” Rainbow Railroad will now help the government relocate lgbtq refugees into Canada. Trudeau intends to make Canada the international safe haven for gay and trans people.
During the announcement, Trudeau introduced himself as an alumni of Canada’s Drag Race and delved into an attack on the premier of New Brunswick, Blaine Higgs, over Policy 713. Trudeau said this was a far-right attack of hate on trans kids. What is Policy 713?
Policy 713 gives direction to school boards over the treatment of trans kids. The Conservative government is actually enshrining trans rights into law, such as making sure all schools have genderless bathrooms and changing areas. But Policy 713 had one fatal flaw in the eyes of the 2slgbtqi+ zealots: Any child under the age of 16 who would want to change their gender, or pronouns, at school would need parental consent first. This is too extreme for modern-day Canada. Parents shouldn’t be allowed to influence their child’s decisions. The firestorm is threatening to topple the government of New Brunswick and cause a snap election. This shows the massive power of the 2slgbtqi+ movement.
Even the foreign media is not safe from backlash. An lgbtq rights group, Egale Canada, has asked the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (crtc) to remove Fox News from cable packages in Canada. The group took issue with Tucker Carlson’s commentary on the Covenant School shooting and the trans community. Its letter to the crtc said: “During the segment, Carlson made the inflammatory and false claim that trans people are ‘targeting’ Christians. To position trans people in existential opposition to Christianity is an incitement of violence against trans people that is plain to any viewer.” If you say the Bible and Christianity is existentially opposed to trans and that lifestyle, you are inciting hatred and violence. The crtc has yet to rule on the complaint, but this could outlaw biblical teaching on homosexuality and transsexuality.
These are just two recent examples. There is also the Supreme Court’s ruling against Trinity College’s requirement to abstain from premarital sex and their belief that marriage is a sacred relationship between a man and a woman. Its right of religious liberty could be violated by the lgbtq community because its requirements were inequitable and didn’t reflect “charter values.”
Yet the Manitoba Court of Appeals just ruled that the closure of churches during the covid lockdowns was constitutional, saying: “Freedom of religion can be limited when the exercise of it can interfere with the rights of others.”
Then there is the Bill Whatcott trial. Whatcott handed out religious and sexual health flyers that opposed homosexuality at the 2016 Toronto Pride Parade. He was sued $104 million, but after discovering he had no wealthy backers, the activists dropped the lawsuit. However, the attorney general of Ontario took up the lawsuit and charged Whatcott with “inciting hatred.” A nationwide arrest warrant was issued, and Whatcott was mistreated in prison. Even after being found not guilty in 2021, the attorney general, determined to make an example of Whatcott, appealed it. The case is still going on to this day.
The government and media are building the narrative that the 2slgbtqi+ community is under attack. But the opposite is true: The lesbian-gay-bisexual-transgender community is the aggressor, using the full weight of the law and government to crush any one who opposes such lifestyles and propaganda. That is why traditional families are being blotted out and religious rights are being ignored.
Make no mistake: The charter and law no longer protect Canadians who don’t agree with the 2slgbtqi+ doctrine.
The Last Bulwark
One of the core tenets of The Communist Manifesto is the destruction of the family. As a social unit, the family preserves traditions and acts independently of the state. It is a natural bulwark against totalitarianism. That is why radical Communists like Pierre Trudeau and Justin Trudeau have hollowed out traditional family life: It stands in the way of fundamentally transforming the country.
The late Herbert W. Armstrong prophesied of a Communist infiltration in America and the British Commonwealth. What is happening now is the end game. The reality is, the 2slgbtqi+ movement is being used as a pawn in this Communist destruction of the biblical family and religion.
However, this cultural revolution is a consequence of another: the sexual revolution of the 1960s. “Everywhere sex came to be freely talked about,” wrote Mr. Armstrong in The Missing Dimension in Sex. “Morals relaxed. The ‘New Morality’ became accepted by society. Divorces escalated. Family and home life became almost nonexistent—yet a solid family structure is the very foundation of a stable and enduring society.” Sexual perversion and broken families became normal.
The longer an individual or society lives with sin, the worse it becomes. Transsexuality is the natural, carnal progression of sin in our nations. “There has floated abroad the delusion that whatever is new and different is ‘more progressive’ and ‘modern,’ and therefore better,” Mr. Armstrong continued. “Far more often it is retrogression!”
Canada is not the first country to embrace 2slgbtqi+ values. Isaiah 3:9 states: “The shew of their countenance doth witness against them; and they declare their sin as Sodom, they hide it not. Woe unto their soul! for they have rewarded evil unto themselves.” The Bible clearly explains that lifestyle is sin (Romans 1:24-28; 1 Corinthians 6:9-10; 1 Timothy 1:9-10). The more we embrace sin as a nation, the more we will be cursed.
Canada has lost the culture war, but that doesn’t mean you need to as an individual. Obeying God’s laws on family and sex guarantee happiness and blessings. To learn more about family and the truth behind the lgbtq movement, read our free booklet Redefining Family.
