MSNBC Guest Calls for New ‘Patriot Act’
Left-wing podcast host Paul Riechkhoff made headlines on July 25 when he told an msnbc host that America needs a new Patriot Act targeting conservatives and right-wing extremists.
“After 9/11, we created the Department of Homeland Security,” he told Nicolle Wallace. “There was the Patriot Act. There was a massive change in our entire society to face the number one threat, at least what was communicated as the number one threat. I think we need the same kind of tectonic shift. It’s got to be much more than ‘see something,’ but maybe our laws need to change to respond to the fact that someone like Mike Flynn, the former national security director, is openly calling for violence consistently.”
Mass surveillance: Normally it would be relatively easy to dismiss a left-wing crank like Paul Riechkhoff. Yet his attitude is shared by many powerful people in the Biden administration. It is unlikely that the U.S. government will soon pass any sort of mass surveillance act that deliberately targets people like Lt. Gen. Mike Flynn. But this is only because they do not have to pass such an act.
In 2015, 2016 and 2017, the Obama administration unlawfully surveilled Flynn’s financial records and transactions. In 2016 and 2017, the Obama administration spied on Donald Trump’s presidential campaign. And the Biden administration is currently using the old Patriot Act to monitor parents who criticize school boards for allowing sexually explicit books in public school libraries.
Civil war: On the 21st anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks, Joe Biden gave a speech equating Americans who protest irregularities in the 2020 presidential election to Islamist terrorists. Such inflammatory rhetoric is intentionally provocative and no doubt helped stir up Wallace’s comments. Ultimately, the radical left is trying to trigger a civil war that would take state power to put down. Yet Bible prophecies, such as Ezekiel 5:12, show that neither side will win in this civil war. Rather, a foreign enemy will exploit the division to conquer America.
