Joe Rogan Believes ‘Deep State’ Staged January 6 as a False Flag Against Trump
The popular liberal podcaster Joe Rogan is suggesting that the United States Central Intelligence Agency and Federal Bureau of Investigation helped engineer chaos at the January 6 Capitol insurrection as a false flag against President Donald Trump. While hosting comedian Jim Gaffigan on July 28, Rogan noted that federal agencies have a history of disrupting “peaceful protests” in order to portray demonstrators as violent.
False flag: “Make America Great Again” Republicans started presenting video evidence that left-wing agitators like John Sullivan stirred up violence at the Capitol just weeks after the protests. So, Rogan’s claims of “deep state” interference are not new. But the fact that a popular liberal like Rogan is now making these claims is new. Those saying the January 6 insurrection was a false flag against Trump were once condemned as conspiracy theorists, but the notion that the “deep state” engineered violence is going mainstream.
Big lie: The “deep state” is at war with Donald Trump and his supporters. The primary way they fight back against efforts to investigate voter fraud is to slur anyone concerned about it as an insurrectionist.
A group of Republican congressmen wanted to contest the election results on Jan. 6, 2021, but they needed the protests outside the Capitol to remain peaceful while they debated. The riot instantly doomed any chance Trump had of exposing election fraud. This riot did not benefit the “Make America Great Again” movement. Rather, it benefited the “deep state” agitators who needed Trump supporters to seem like insurrectionists.
