Russia and China Conduct Large Naval Patrols Near Alaska
A large group of Russian and Chinese warships patrolled near the coast of Alaska last week, United States officials told the Wall Street Journal on August 6. Two Republican senators representing the state of Alaska said a total of 11 ships had been detected “transiting U.S. waters in the Aleutians,” labeling the activities “an incursion.”
The incursion by 11 Chinese and Russian warships operating together—off the coast of Alaska—is yet another reminder that we have entered a new era of authoritarian aggression led by the dictators in Beijing and Moscow.

“It’s a historical first,” said Brent Sadler, senior research fellow at the Heritage Foundation and a retired Navy captain. “Given the context of the war in Ukraine and tensions around Taiwan, this move is highly provocative.”
Russia’s Defense Ministry said on Friday that Russian and Chinese vessels were continuing patrols in the Pacific and had carried out drills involving a joint anti-submarine exercise, and helicopter landings and takeoffs from the decks of each other’s ships.
Times of the Gentiles: During His ministry, Jesus Christ spoke of “the times of the Gentiles” (Luke 21:24). In this era, powerful Gentile nations will become increasingly belligerent. Russia and China’s increasing aggression toward the U.S. is one way in which we can see this prophecy moving toward fulfillment.
