Russia Renews Nuclear Testing
Russia conducted nuclear strike training overseen by President Vladimir Putin on Wednesday. Earlier that day, the upper house of Russia’s parliament unanimously voted to withdraw from the Comprehensive Nuclear Test Ban Treaty, which forbids signatories from conducting nuclear weapons tests.
The strike training included air, land and maritime nuclear drills.
- Tu-95MS rocket launchers launched air-based cruise missiles.
- A Yars intercontinental ballistic missile was tested at the Plesetsk cosmodrome at the Kura training ground in Kamchatka, Russia.
- A nuclear submarine launched a Sineva ballistic missile in the Barents Sea.
Worrying trends: For decades after the end of the Cold War, the possibility of nuclear war seemed remote. But in recent years, global conditions have deteriorated and the likelihood has dramatically increased. This strike training is the latest indication that nuclear war is not far away.
Prophecy says: In Matthew 24:21-22, Jesus Christ prophesied of a global war so devastating that, if not stopped, would end all human life on Earth. Such a destructive war was not possible until technological developments in recent decades.
Bible passages in Ezekiel and Revelation show that Russia will be one of the major powers in this coming global conflict.
