UN Accuses U.S. Police of Racism
The United Nations is accusing local law enforcement in the United States of “systematic racism.”
Systematic racism against Africans and people of African descent exists in the United States, [including] in the context of law enforcement and the criminal justice system.
—Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights
The September 26 report rejects the notion that racist behavior among police officers is isolated, and makes 30 policy recommendations to help the U.S. dismantle the legacy of slavery.
Skewed statistics: Like Antifa and Black Lives Matter, the UN points to the fact that 21 percent of police killings in the U.S. happen to black people and cites it as evidence that they are being targeted for extermination.
These organizations ignore more detailed data showing that blacks are no more likely than whites to be killed during an arrest; and blacks are only arrested more frequently than whites because blacks are statistically more likely to be involved in violent crime than whites.
While there are isolated examples of racism in local law enforcement, the accusation of systematic racism falls apart quickly when you look at criminal data.
Rising tyranny: The UN wants the U.S. to enact legislation to:
- Reduce the maximum possible number of killings by law enforcement
- Create a nationwide record system documenting police violence
- Guarantee victims’ rights to reparations
These suggestions would involve unconstitutionally expanding federal control over local police and surrendering U.S. sovereignty to international bodies. The framers of the U.S. Constitution allowed for federal policing of certain crimes, such as counterfeiting, treason and piracy. Yet outside of such crimes, constitutional law mandates that law enforcement be a function of state and local governments so that a tyrannical regime in Washington, D.C., could never use the police as a standing army against the people.
Bible prophecy: The Prophet Ezekiel foretells that a third part of modern-day Israel (America, Britain and the Jewish state in the Middle East primarily) will die in rioting and civil war. How could the most powerful and prosperous nation in human history fall into such a terrible fate as this? One major reason is this issue of government control.
By its very definition, big-government socialism is opposed to small-government constitutionalism. Socialism is based largely on atheism, and the U.S. Constitution is based largely on the Bible. Today, both socialism and globalism are gathering strength.
Socialists’ and globalists’ ultimate aim in tearing down local police forces is to replace these forces with a federally controlled law enforcement agency. The Bible indicates this plan will backfire, creating the conditions for a civil war.
