Terrorist Attack in Canada ‘Very Likely’
“Terrorists are very likely to try to carry out attacks in Canada,” the United Kingdom wrote in a travel advisory for Canada three weeks ago.
Attacks could be indiscriminate, including in places visited by foreigners. You should remain aware of your surroundings, keep up to date with local media reports, and follow the advice of local authorities.
The Canadian threat advisory level remained at “medium,” the same level it has been since October 2014.
Pro-Hamas demonstrations: The UK government has not offered intelligence on why the alert was issued, but it coincides with the massive wave of pro-Hamas protests spreading across the country.
