Germany Green-lights Eurofighter Sales to Saudi Arabia
The German government will no longer block the sale of Eurofighter Typhoon jets to Saudi Arabia, German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock said on January 7.
We do not see the German government opposing British considerations for more Eurofighters for Saudi Arabia.

Britain previously pushed a deal to sell 48 Eurofighters to Saudi Arabia, but Germany vetoed it in 2018 due to Saudi Arabia’s role in the Yemen civil war and the murder of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi.
Supporting Israel: Germany shifted its policy because of the situation caused by the October 7 Hamas attack, as well as Saudi Arabia’s “very constructive attitude toward Israel,” a government spokesperson said.
Baerbock said Germany is “grateful” that Saudi Arabia is using Eurofighters to intercept missiles fired by Iran-backed Houthis at Israel. “Saudi Arabia is a key contributor to Israel’s security,” she added.
The Trumpet says: After the barbaric October 7 attack, many criticized Israel in support of Hamas. Germany, however, has strongly supported Israel and continues to get more involved in the Middle East.
In the cover story of the January 2024 issue of the Philadelphia Trumpet, editor in chief Gerald Flurry wrote:
[Germany] has positioned itself to provide substantial material aid that other nations have not. Few realize it, but Germany is rising mightily in this region. This development is accelerating the fulfillment of some crucial biblical prophecies!
