Polish Court Orders the Arrest of Two Former Officials
Polish police arrested former Interior Minister Mariusz Kaminski and his deputy, Maciej Wasik, at Warsaw’s Presidential Palace on Wednesday under charges of abuse of power.
The two members of the Law and Justice Party (PiS) were accused of illegally entrapping people when they ran Poland’s Central Anticorruption Bureau about 15 years ago. They are accused of using the bureau to set up political enemies. They say corrupt people in powerful positions used the courts to shut them down.
A court found them guilty of abuse of power in 2015. They appealed—and while the appeal was going ahead, the president pardoned them.
Poland’s Constitutional Tribunal upheld the pardons, but the Supreme Court said they’re invalid and that a presidential pardon can only be issued once the appeal process is finished.
Political purge: This story follows several other moves that indicate Prime Minister Donald Tusk want to completely take over Poland’s government and media.
- Tusk is fighting to shut down state-owned news stations tvp Info, tvp3 and tvp World.
- He fired the heads of each intelligence agency days after taking office.
Political puppet: Soon after Tusk’s government took over, Trumpet writer Richard Palmer showed how Germany was behind the ushering in of this new government. PiS is staunchly anti-German, a stance Berlin could not accept.
Poland’s PiS clearly saw the reality the Trumpet has warned about for years: Germany rules Europe.
—Richard Palmer
Decades-old forecast: Not only has the Trumpet warned of this German takeover for decades, but our predecessor, the Plain Truth, also foretold this rise even when Germany was in ruins following World War ii.
In the August 1950 Plain Truth, editor in chief Herbert W. Armstrong said a European union of 10 nations, including some in Eastern Europe, would be ruled by Germany.
[T]he world will be stunned, dumbfounded, to see Germany emerge suddenly in a power never equaled by [Adolf] Hitler—by a union of 10 nations in Europe, probably including some at present puppets of Russia—in a gigantic United States of Europe. … Soon the “United States of Europe” will emerge, with Germany at its head.
—Herbert W. Armstrong
Poland’s break from Soviet Russia and alignment with Europe show that it could become one of these 10 nations. Tusk’s German-guided takeover further validates the legitimacy of Mr. Armstrong’s message.
