Poland’s Donald Tusk Warns: Europe Has Entered ‘Prewar’ Era
“I don’t want to scare anyone, but war is no longer a concept from the past,” Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk said on March 29 in an interview with several European media outlets. “It is real. In fact, it already started more than two years ago.”
I know it sounds devastating, especially to people of the younger generation, but we have to mentally get used to the arrival of a new era. The prewar era. I don’t exaggerate. This is becoming more and more apparent every day.
—Donald Tusk
Tusk said Europe still has a long way to go to prepare itself to face the threat from Russia. The first step is for nato nations to meet the alliance’s military spending target of 2 percent of gross domestic product, he added.
Today we have to spend as much as we can to buy equipment and ammunition for Ukraine because we are living in the most critical moment since the end of the Second World War.
—Donald Tusk
Preparing for war? Many European countries have recently called for urgent preparations for a potential conflict.
- Earlier this week, a Swedish official warned that nato is not doing enough to stop Russia.
- Earlier this month, Romania began construction of a massive nato base.
- Last month, Latvia reintroduced the draft.
- Meanwhile, Germany has called for “mass production” of European arms as it rapidly rearms itself.
Coming superpower: Bible prophecy shows that nations in Europe will soon unite to form a militaristic superpower that will drastically change world affairs. Fear of Russia is accelerating this trend.
