Ukraine Retreats From Multiple Russian Attacks
Russian offensives caused Ukraine’s troops to retreat from three eastern villages, Ukraine’s commander in chief, Col. Gen. Oleksandr Syrskyi, said Sunday.
The situation on the front has worsened. … The enemy has concentrated its main efforts on several areas, creating a significant advantage in forces and resources. The enemy is actively attacking along the entire front line and making tactical gains in some areas ….
The push: Russia is focusing its push around Avdiivka, the city it captured in February. If it can conquer more area near this hub, it could lead to a Russian conquest of Chasiv Yar. Its capture would give Russia high ground from which to attack other cities vital to Ukraine’s defensive line.
The Institute for the Study of War, a Washington-based think tank, believes Russia “will likely make significant tactical gains in the coming weeks,” but that nothing will cause the collapse of Ukraine’s line “in the near term.”
Big picture: Bible prophecy says Russia’s belligerence and dominance will grow stronger. The Trumpet believes that part of Russia’s rise will take shape in its reconquest of several former Soviet states. Eventually, Russia will lead a mighty Asian alliance, which will play a central role in World War III with the largest army in human history.
