A Promise of Protection
Psalm 83 references prophetic Israel—three nations in particular. It also describes spiritual Israel—God’s Spirit-begotten Church: people He will protect before the worst suffering hits. They are protected because they are repenting and obeying the way God says we must.
The psalm begins, “Keep not thou silence, O God: hold not thy peace, and be not still, O God. For, lo, thine enemies make a tumult: and they that hate thee have lifted up the head. They have taken crafty counsel against thy people [Israel], and consulted against thy hidden [sheltered] ones” (verses 1-3). God is sheltering, or protecting, some.
Note how Jesus Christ connected this promise with the event that will directly follow Germany’s conquest of Iran and the fulfillment of the Psalm 83 alliance: “And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh. Then let them which are in Judaea flee to the mountains …” (Luke 21:20-21). God’s people will be taken to a place of protection, where God ensures that they are not killed or injured. Many terrible things will be unfolding in Jerusalem and, subsequently, throughout the world.
God is working to get us to repent—to overcome our sins and change our ways. Right now, very few are responding to God’s call. The Psalm 83 alliance seeks to blot out this very message. But they will not succeed! God’s message will be delivered. We have been proclaiming this message for over 75 years, and now God is sending a last warning (Amos 7:8). We want to get this message out to anybody we possibly can.
How many people are warning about the Psalm 83 alliance today? I know of nobody other than the Trumpet magazine and the Philadelphia Church of God.
God’s people in this end time are not hidden at all—but at a certain time, they will be protected and hidden. Today they are crying aloud and warning the world of what is coming: The Great Tribulation and the Day of the Lord are imminent—the worst suffering ever on this planet!
God wants us all to repent. That includes you, me and everybody! Eventually, He is going to convert this world! But only those who proclaim this message today will be protected from the imminent holocaust. Others will repent during the Tribulation or in a later resurrection (Revelation 20). We all could be protected if we would just heed God.
