The Trump Tide Is Rising Again
In the most recent American election cycle, the anticipated wave of Republican victories was instead a trickle. Democrats, who had seized the White House in 2020, added one Senate seat and two governors’ offices and lost only nine seats in the House of Representatives. Leaders of the Republican Party blamed the failure on someone who wasn’t even running but loomed large over the party: Donald J. Trump. Several asserted that the Republican Party needed a new leader before the 2024 presidential election.
Now the Trump tide is rolling in.
President Trump clinched the Republican nomination with 1,215 delegates on March 12. Since then, hundreds of Republican leaders have endorsed his campaign, including his primary rival, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, and even former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley, who also had a short-lived campaign for the presidency. Even as his own campaigning has been largely blocked by prosecutors and judges hauling him into courtrooms, President Trump continues to surge in the polls. He even held a rally in the Bronx, an hour’s drive from Manhattan Criminal Courthouse, where a jury began deliberating one of his cases on Wednesday. This district allegedly voted 90 percent for Joe Biden in 2020, yet 25,000 people turned out at Crotona Park to see him, chanting slogans such as “We love Trump!”
Joe Biden can’t attract crowds like Trump in enemy territory, in friendly territory, in his hometown or just about anywhere. And this is the man who supposedly won the entire nation with 81 million votes, more than anyone in history, and is, therefore, supposedly the rightful president of the United States.
If so many people from a deep-blue district Biden apparently won in a landslide last election are looking to Trump to “Make NYC Great Again,” how do you think the rest of the country feels? Even the never-Trump New York Post editorial board is saying “Trump will win if he does more speeches like the one in the Bronx.” That is absolutely right. The Bronx is the district that elected Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez; and people there are calling for Trump.
The tide is turning in Trump’s favor. In 2022, the year of the illusory red wave, the New York Post’s attitude toward a supposedly failing Trump was visible in statements like, “‘Trumpty Dumpty’ couldn’t build a wall, so he had a great fall.” In 2024, it’s writing, “Trump spent part of his Bronx speech talking about his career as a real estate developer, about perseverance, about his love of New York City. It’s a welcome change from the parade of grievances that marked his rallies last year. Our advice to Trump: Do this more!”
The New York Post is still owned by the anti-Trump Murdoch family, but it seems like the Murdochs are admitting that Trump is the future. Maybe they are trying to jump back on the Trump train while there is time.
Photos of Trump’s Bronx rally show large numbers of black and Hispanic voters showing strong support for President Trump, so the left-wing lie that Trump is a racist also seems to be crumbling. The New York Post astutely noted that many blacks and Hispanics are more concerned about Bidenomics than they are about leftist fictions about victimhood. Trump may do better in blue districts than the left expects.
President Trump wisely spent much of his rally talking about America’s 1.4 percent inflation rate during his tenure in office. A recent cbs News analysis found that the typical household must spend an additional $11,434 annually to maintain the same standard of living they enjoyed in 2021. So you can bet millions of Americans are eager for Trump’s return, no matter what lies the radical left says about him.
While Biden spreads a depressing message about racism and the death of democracy, Trump is spreading a positive message about revival. The massive size of his rallies shows which message Americans prefer.
My father, Trumpet editor in chief Gerald Flurry, began talking about the “Trump tide” in a 2019 co-worker letter that quotes from William Shakespeare’s famous play Julius Caesar. In this play, Brutus says to Cassius:
There is a tide in the affairs of men
Which, taken at the flood, leads on to fortune;
Omitted, all the voyage of their life
Is bound in shallows and in miseries.
On such a full sea are we now afloat,
And we must take the current when it serves,
Or lose our ventures.
—Act iv, Scene 2
In other words, ride the tide while it rises! President Trump did this back in 2016 until the tide receded when the Democrats stole the 2020 election. But the tide is swiftly flowing out again!
If you don’t have a copy of my father’s book America Under Attack, be sure to request one as soon as possible. It was published when the radical left said Trump was finished and mainstream Republicans were looking for a replacement candidate. Yet it predicts Trump will return to the White House. Why?
A prophecy in Amos 7 states that God will pass by America one last time to give people a final chance to solve their terrible problems. How? By repenting of their sins. “And the Lord said unto me, Amos, what seest thou? And I said, A plumbline. Then said the Lord, Behold, I will set a plumbline in the midst of my people Israel: I will not again pass by them any more” (verse 8).
“We have been watching this prophecy since June 1990, in the second issue of the Trumpet we ever produced,” my father wrote in “Why I Still Believe Donald Trump Is Coming Back.” “It speaks of a time when God is preparing to measure the destruction of end-time Israel—the United States and Britain—and He says, ‘I will not again pass by them any more’ (verse 8). This is just before severe correction comes on these nations if they don’t repent. They are receiving their final warning. … So the entire context of God saying I will not again pass by them anymore is the time of ‘Jeroboam’—an end-time antitype of King Jeroboam ii of Israel ….”
This prophecy is why we have consistently insisted that President Trump will return to power. We do not know exactly how this will unfold, yet the Bronx might be the beginning of that restoration. Keep watching the rallies Mr. Trump is holding around the nation, because a great red wave is indeed going to sweep America! But this resurgence will be only a temporary reprieve before America’s prophesied destruction for its sins.
Before that happens, before it’s too late, you must respond to what God is doing. It’s not enough to recognize the evil being perpetrated by the radical left. It’s not enough to put your faith in any political candidate. Have faith in—and repent toward—the God who used Mr. Trump in the first place and is about to use Him again, for your sake.
