Anti-Islam Activist Stabbed in Germany
A man attacked anti-Islam activist Michael Stürzenberger, as well as a police officer and four other people, with a knife during a market rally in the southwest German city of Mannheim on May 31.
Videos on social media show that German police shot and arrested the attacker after he brutally stabbed the far-right activist multiple times. One police officer was stabbed in the neck.
Police said Stürzenberger has to undergo surgery, but his life is not in danger. The police officer, however, is in critical condition.
Islamist motive? Witnesses say the attacker shouted, “Allahu akbar,” before stabbing Stürzenberger, who was preparing to deliver a speech for the anti-Islam Pax Europa Movement. A banner was on display at the rally with the message, “Stop political Islam!”
If investigations show an Islamist motive behind the attack, that would be yet another confirmation of the great danger posed by Islamist violence, which we have been warning about.
