Supreme Court Rules Trump Had Immunity
In a devastating blow to Special Counsel Jack Smith, the United States Supreme Court ruled on July 1 that Donald Trump is immune to criminal prosecution for official acts taken while he was president of the United States. In a 6-3 decision written by Chief Justice John Roberts, the court held that there is a critical distinction between public and private acts taken by the president. Therefore, Trump can be prosecuted for unofficial acts but has “absolute immunity” from prosecution for official acts taken in his role as head of government.
“Under our constitutional structure of separated powers, the nature of presidential power entitles a former president to absolute immunity from criminal prosecution for actions within his conclusive and preclusive constitutional authority,” wrote Justice Roberts. “And he is entitled to at least presumptive immunity from prosecution for all his official acts. There is no immunity for unofficial acts.”
Jack Smith has charged Trump with knowingly spreading false information about the election in a malicious attempt to stir up a violent insurrection against the U.S. government on Jan. 6, 2021. But his prosecution has been on hold since January while the Supreme Court examined whether Trump had diplomatic immunity. Now that the court has ruled that Trump did have diplomatic immunity for official acts, the case has been handed back to lower courts for additional analysis on whether Trump’s actions on Jan. 6, 2021, were taken in an “official” or “unofficial” capacity.
This is a big win for President Trump.
So far, the courts have avoided the issue of election fraud. Yet the longer this case is debated, the more information comes out. President Trump had nothing to gain from stirring up violence on Jan. 6, 2021, because roughly 100 congressional representatives were ready to present evidence of election fraud. The violence prevented this evidence from being presented, thus assuring that Joe Biden would take office. The radical left is now prosecuting Trump to ensure that the issue of election fraud is never debated.
It is an open secret that Democrats stole the 2020 election from President Donald Trump. In his book America Under Attack, my father, Trumpet editor in chief Gerald Flurry, asserts that President Trump was the winner of the 2020 election and explains that the Bible actually prophesies that Trump will return to power.
This forecast is based on 2 Kings 14:26-28, which say an end-time antitype of King Jeroboam ii will have to war to recover something stolen from him. The radical lawfare against Trump is a blatant attempt to steal the presidency, so the Bible reveals that Donald Trump will have to fight to keep that from happening.
The Bible also reveals that he will receive some much-needed help in this fight from two unexpected places.
As my father explains in “Is America’s Supreme Court in Bible Prophecy?”, Amos 7:13 indicates that Trump will be supported by the “king’s chapel” and the “king’s court.” The “king’s chapel” is a religious movement that is more loyal to the king than to the man God is using to warn the nation. But the “king’s court” would better be translated “kingdom’s court.” It refers to a “nonreligious entity” that supports the king.
My father uses this and other prophecies, including 2 Kings 14:26-28, to show that the leader in this prophecy—who is Donald Trump—is supported by the Supreme Court of the United States.
The Trumpet expects the theft of the 2020 election to be fully exposed, for Barack Obama and Joe Biden’s power to dwindle, and for Donald Trump to return to the presidency. So keep watching the Supreme Court for some truly history-making rulings.
The court initially lacked courage in the face of the election steal, government tyranny and other issues, but its role is by no means insignificant. Many of the justices must realize that America will no longer be a democratic republic at all if prosecutors like Jack Smith can ban a man from even running for office because a few of his supporters trespassed on Capitol grounds. The Supreme Court could be involved in determining whether America survives as a republic—or whether it survives at all.
Amos describes this as the period when God “will not again pass by them anymore.” As my father has said, God will indeed give this nation one last chance to repent of the sins that have led us to such a horrible place in our history. And He is going to do it specifically through President Donald Trump!
