Germany to Halve Military Aid to Ukraine
Germany will halve its military aid to Ukraine in 2025, Reuters reported on Wednesday.
- A draft of Germany’s budget shows that aid to Ukraine will be cut to $4.35 billion in 2025 from $8.7 billion in 2024.
Relying on assets: “Ukraine’s financing is secured for the foreseeable future thanks to European instruments and the G-7 loans,” German Finance Minister Christian Lindner said.
Last month, G-7 members agreed to loan Ukraine $50 billion worth of profits from frozen Russian assets.
