The assassination attempt on Donald Trump and the shake-up of the Democratic Party have completely absorbed people’s attention regarding American politics. Another stunning development has been overlooked—one that fulfills a specific Bible prophecy.

President Trump appointed three Supreme Court justices: Neil Gorsuch in 2017, Brett Kavanaugh in 2018, and Amy Coney Barrett in 2020. Radical leftists rabidly attacked them, especially the latter two. With no evidence, they accused Kavanaugh of being a sexual predator. They seethed with accusations and vitriol against Judge Barrett. They were so intent on barring these conservative judges that they tried to destroy their lives. Somehow these judges survived the attacks and joined the court.

People thought the Supreme Court would then be favorable to President Trump. After rampant fraud plagued the 2020 presidential election, several lawsuits were filed to try to correct the theft. A handful of cases, ending with Texas v. Pennsylvania, were submitted to the Supreme Court. But the court accepted none of them. It did nothing to help Donald Trump for some years.

Recently, however, we have seen a definite change. The court has made some landmark rulings that are highly favorable to Mr. Trump.

In Trump v. United States, decided on July 1, the court ruled in accordance with the Constitution that a president has legal immunity for all official acts (sidebar, page 10). Leftists screamed that the court was giving Trump immunity to be a criminal—even, some argued, to execute his political enemies! That is absurd. This ruling aimed simply to stop the endless lawfare being unjustly waged against this man. If a president can be prosecuted for constitutional actions, then his detractors would be dragging him into court all the time and even jailing him for doing his job!

But with this decision and others, the Supreme Court helped Trump and made his return to the presidency far likelier—even inevitable.

Believe it or not, this development actually fulfills prophecy.

‘The Kingdom’s Court’

Amos 7 is a prophecy for today. It uses the prophetic name Jacob, the name of one of the biblical patriarchs before he was renamed Israel (Genesis 32:28). And as I prove in my book America Under Attack (request a free copy), this prophecy applies specifically to America.

Amos 7 describes a religious figure named Amaziah who approaches the king of the land, Jeroboam, with a condemning report against God’s prophet. He insists that the prophet’s message is undermining the king in the eyes of the people (verses 10-11).

I explain in detail how this passage applies to the United States in America Under Attack. The most important detail to note here is that this “king” is a prophetic reference to Donald Trump. He is an end-time antitype of King Jeroboam ii of ancient Israel.

In this prophecy, Amaziah confronts the prophet directly, saying, “O thou seer, go, flee thee away into the land of Judah, and there eat bread, and prophesy there: But prophesy not again any more at Bethel: for it is the king’s chapel, and it is the king’s court” (verses 12-13).

This is a crucial passage. “The king’s chapel” denotes a place of worship belonging to the leader. This refers to the evangelicals, Catholics and other religious people who strongly support President Trump. “The king’s court” uses a different word for “king” and is better translated kingdom. The Wycliffe translation renders it “house of the realm.” This is the nation’s court. It is not following the leader, but it favors him.

In America Under Attack and various articles in recent years, I wrote that I believed “the king’s court” was probably the U.S. Supreme Court, though I did not state this dogmatically. Recent events, however, have removed the uncertainty. “The king’s court” is for certain the Supreme Court!

Most of the events in this prophecy have not yet been fulfilled, which I take as proof that Donald Trump must return to the presidency (article, page 1). I have also said that this detail in verse 13 implies that the Supreme Court will play an instrumental role in bringing Trump back. “I believe this prophetic account in Amos 7 implies that there is a conservative advantage in the Supreme Court, one that favors Jeroboam,” I wrote in America Under Attack. “This could work to help fulfill this prophecy.”

Now, this aspect of Amos 7:13 is a fulfilled prophecy—a spectacular, wonderful prophecy! I am going to edit “I believe,” “implies” and “could” out of that book. As far as I am concerned, the Supreme Court has brought Trump back to the presidency and has already fulfilled this prophecy.

This is a specific, profound prophecy that has been fulfilled before our eyes!

Absolving Trump

The 2020 election was stolen from President Trump, consolidated by the instigation of violence at the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol protest, and protected by the media. Legal warfare was waged and is being waged against President Trump in an attempt to portray him—or even convict him—of instigating an insurrection. It has been more than 3½ years, and still no news network—not even the main “conservative” networks, Fox News and Newsmax—will touch this story. So much of the left’s criminality remains to be exposed. The world needs to know what truly happened at the highest levels of our government. A great deal of it is exposed in America Under Attack.

On June 28, in another crucial decision, the Supreme Court ruled on Fischer v. United States, saying that the Department of Justice inappropriately used a law to unjustly prosecute about 300 January 6 protesters (sidebar, page 11). Those protesters were not guilty of insurrection or even of “disrupting an official proceeding” under that law. For the same reason, President Trump is not guilty of insurrection or even “disrupting an official proceeding.”

The same day, the Supreme Court handed down its decision on another case with dramatic implications: Loper Bright Enterprises v. Raimondo. This ruling nullified a 1984 Supreme Court decision involving the “Chevron deference doctrine,” which allowed executive branch agencies to not only make regulations based on laws passed by the legislative branch, but also to interpret those laws and regulations independent of the legislature or judiciary (sidebar, page 12). It was basically the “swamp” ruling for the swamp. The Chevron doctrine allowed unelected technocratic experts to make, judge and execute laws. These arrogant “experts” possessed frightful power—without any authority granted in the Constitution. Under their regulations, many, many people were convicted of dubious “crimes” and punished.

The Supreme Court, with its decision in this case, dealt a deadly blow to this out-of-control “fourth branch” of government. It effectively corrected one serious problem that has contributed to the epidemic of lawlessness in America.

The court’s favorable rulings in these cases are part of a broader trend that I now recognize is forecast in the prophecy of Amos 7.

Where Is Barack Obama?

The first six verses of Amos 7 have two visions of God’s prophet intervening to ask God to hold off serious devastation of the nation. Again, this is directed specifically at America, and clearly God is fiercely angry. Many other prophecies speak of a time of unprecedented suffering about to befall the U.S., which Jesus Christ calls a time of “great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be” (Matthew 24:21). At the beginning of Amos 7, the threat of this divine punishment is looming large.

As I explain in America Under Attack, the first six verses address the time when Barack Obama is the man in power. Though he was succeeded for one term by President Trump, Obama still did serious damage to Trump’s tenure in the presidency. Then Obama stole the 2020 election and reclaimed control by using Joe Biden. Since 2021, America has been living through what is effectively Obama’s third term.

God is angered by the damage this man and his fellow radicals are inflicting. America Under Attack explains how Satan the devil is using this man, a modern type of the evil Seleucid king Antiochus iv Epiphanes, to destroy America from within, from the top.

Jacob—or America—was “small” (verses 2, 5) because Obama ruled! His goal was to destroy this nation.

But it is important to realize: The problem is not merely caused by a group of radicals at the top. God allowed them to gain power “by reason of transgression” (Daniel 8:12)—because of the sins of the people. Millions of Americans support what this man has done, and those with the power to stop him have been too weak! God’s assessment of the nation as a whole is that we are a “sinful nation, a people laden with iniquity …. [T]he whole head is sick, and the whole heart faint” (Isaiah 1:4-5). We must come to see this reality as God does!

The beginning of Amos 7 shows how God planned to bring terrible punishment on Israel but decided not to at that time. Then in verses 7-8, He says, I’m going to give them one last opportunity to repent, and that’s it!

God is using our work to warn them! You can prove that by reading our magazines and online articles, by studying our booklets and books, and by watching our television programs.

When you understand who the modern fulfillment of Jeroboam is, the fact that the first part of this chapter is discussing Barack Obama is clear. But it is conspicuous that this man is never mentioned directly in the prophecy, though that is exactly who it is talking about. Why the omission?

I have come to realize that the reason God does not mention this modern-day type of Antiochus in this passage is that He is beginning to silence this man! Barack Obama’s power is diminishing before our eyes.

The devil was using this man to do terrible things to the United States of America and even to a number of the other nations that have descended from ancient Israel. Mr. Obama has had control of Hollywood, academia, media, technocrats and powerful corporations. These have helped him and his army “cast down the truth to the ground” (Daniel 8:12). In a related prophecy in 2 Kings 14:26, his destructive work is forecast to wreak bitter affliction on the nation!

Barack Obama has wielded so much power—during his presidency, against Donald Trump’s presidency, and through Joe Biden’s illegitimate presidency. God is deeply bothered by how Satan used this man to destroy America from the inside! And now, He has begun to put a stop to it. That man is going down fast; he is being exposed and silenced!

Verse 27 of 2 Kings 14 says, “And the Lord said not that he would blot out the name of Israel from under heaven: but he saved them by the hand of Jeroboam the son of Joash.” It was actually Satan using Obama and his followers to try to blot out the name of Israel in America and other nations—and God stopped him in a specific way: “by the hand of Jeroboam.” God used a modern King Jeroboam ii against this modern Antiochus. That happened to a certain degree in Trump’s first term. And while Biden has been president, God has exposed a great deal more of their lawlessness. He has prepared the way for Trump to resume power, and at the same time, He is beginning to take away Obama’s power and to silence him!

A big part of silencing Obama will be the return of Donald Trump to the presidency, which I have forecast ever since the 2020 election coup.

God prophesied that He would save America, temporarily, by the hand of Donald Trump. Satan and Obama are raging against that and trying to bring him down. But as I said on June 1, “Donald Trump is not going to be assassinated”! (article, page 1). God says President Trump is indeed coming back.

Now God is also using the Supreme Court and “blotting out” not Israel, but the work of Satan and his man. He is not the same as he was; things are changing before our eyes.

Obama has been able to manipulate and use Biden. But now, finally, we are starting to see some opposition within the Democratic Party. Leading Democrats, like those at the New York Times, are showing signs of being at loggerheads with Obama.

Obama is being silenced. He has not yet been silenced, but these verses (Amos 7:7-8, which flow from verses 1-6) show that in the end, he will be totally silenced! He is not mentioned anymore in the Bible as far as I can see. He set out to blot out the name of Israel, and now God is giving him a taste of his own evil: God is blotting out his power and silencing him. By the end of verse 8, he is totally out of it. We will see this even more plainly in the time ahead.

‘In the Midst’

Amos 7:10 describes Amaziah the priest telling Jeroboam, “Amos hath conspired against thee in the midst of the house of Israel: the land is not able to bear all his words.” This modern Jeroboam is the “king,” and he is “in the midst” of the house of Israel.

Now note: In verses 7-8, God says He will use a plumbline—a measuring device—to mete out destruction “in the midst” of America. This is also talking about a ruler of Israel—though here he is not named.

Both Barack Obama and Donald Trump are “in the midst” of Israel (America); both have ruled Israel, which is what this chapter is about. “In the midst is emphatic,” Lange’s Commentary notes. But verse 8 describes terrifying plumbline destruction from God “in the midst” of Israel. God is destroying the work of this leader!

There has been an end-time Obama Antiochus destroying America from within, from the top. But here it is God destroying this Antiochus! There is no Obama Antiochus after the eighth verse. There is no mention of Antiochus because—thanks to the Supreme Court and other developments—that man has been silenced. Amos 7:9 shows that the Obama Antiochus is gone. I see no place in the Bible where he returns.

Watch Obama

After Joe Biden’s terrible performance in the June 27 debate, Barack Obama posted on X: “Bad debate nights happen. Trust me, I know. But this election is still a choice between someone who has fought for ordinary folks his entire life and someone who only cares about himself. Between someone who tells the truth, who knows right from wrong … and someone who lies through his teeth for his own benefit. Last night didn’t change that, and it’s why so much is at stake in November.”

First of all, Biden and Obama do not tell the truth to the American people about much of anything. They lie routinely, just like the devil! (John 8:44). They are willing to say or do anything to maintain power. Obama always accuses others of exactly what he is guilty of.

More importantly, Obama’s message suggested that the November election is the big thing, but I don’t believe that is the big thing in his mind at all. I believe he has a civil war or a race war in mind, possibly aimed around the inauguration of Donald Trump. His big goal has always been to blot out the name of Israel! That means America especially, but also Britain and the Jewish state in the Middle East.

Obama has also caused a lot of destruction in other nations that descended from ancient Israel (all explained in The United States and Britain in Prophecy). In March, he visited the British prime minister prior to a United Nations vote, and they worked together to vote against Israel. Obama wants to cripple the Jewish state even as the Jews fight for their lives after Hamas’s abominable October 7 massacre last year. He has helped to transform Canada through his support of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, another radical liberal. With China’s help—and especially with the help of Satan’s power—Obama has helped to make Trudeau dictator of Canada. Shortly after Obama visited Australia in March 2023, around 400,000 immigrants flowed into that nation, which has a population of only 25 million; the number of immigrants is expected to reach 750,000 next year. Millions are pouring over the borders of Australia, Canada, Britain and the United States. And so many of them are young, fit, military-age males from all over the world, including enemy nations of America, like China! These aliens are attacking America by trafficking drugs, smuggling children and sex slaves, perpetrating rape and murder. Many conservatives believe the plan is to make Democrat voters out of all these illegal immigrants. But Obama has another plan: to bring in soldiers who can sow division, violence, confusion, terrorism, race war and civil war in America, as well as these other nations! That is the known plan of the Communists, and many of those helping him are Communist.

Can you recognize the seriousness of this crisis? Obama’s goal is to blot out the name of Israel! He has succeeded to a frightening degree—but now he is quickly losing his clout, and his power is going to diminish further. I think it will happen in a short time because events are moving fast.

A Prophet’s Warning

Amos 7:8 describes God preparing plumbline destruction “in the midst of my people”—He is silencing the Obama Antiochus. Verse 9 says, “And the high places of Isaac shall be desolate, and the sanctuaries of Israel shall be laid waste ….” The “high places of Isaac” refers to a falling away within God’s true Church, which occurred in this end time (starting in the mid-1980s; request our free book Raising the Ruins to learn about this). The “sanctuaries of Israel” include the worldly churches in America, of which many will ally with Donald Trump. And the verse concludes, “I will rise against the house of Jeroboam with the sword”—not against Jeroboam himself but against the house of Jeroboam.

So by this point in the prophecy, Jeroboam (President Trump) is prominent and the political Antiochus (Barack Obama) has been silenced.

Then “Amaziah the priest of Bethel” enters (verse 10). (Bethel means house of God. But it has become corrupt.) This is a spiritual modern-day Antiochus—a man who destroyed most of God’s own Church from within, from the top. He is going to come on the scene to help Jeroboam. Watch for this prophecy to be fulfilled soon.

This man will warn the president, “Amos [a type of a modern-day prophet] hath conspired against thee in the midst of the house of Israel: the land is not able to bear all his words.” This means the prophetic warning message of God’s true Church is out there. People know about it and have problems with it. “For thus Amos saith, Jeroboam shall die by the sword, and Israel shall surely be led away captive out of their own land” (verse 11). Amaziah presents a false account of God’s message. The modern-day Amos warns that God will attack the house of Jeroboam—not Jeroboam himself. But his message indeed says America and the other modern nations of Israel will be destroyed, millions of people will be killed, and survivors will be led away captive. Ezekiel 5 and other scriptures prophesy that two thirds of the hundreds of millions of people in America, Britain and other Israelite nations will be killed, and the last third taken captive! This is the message of God that Amaziah and Jeroboam dislike.

Amos 6:9-11 is kind of an introduction to Amos 7. It describes 10 men in one house all dying; others must take out the corpses and burn them, including their bones. Verse 11 describes God smiting people with terrible destruction, and the terminology used suggests unimaginable devastation, such as nuclear warfare and radiation! That is the horror our nations are facing!

God’s true Church must warn the world—especially America, Britain and Judah—of what they will face in the near future if they don’t listen to God and repent!

In Amos 7:12-13, the wicked priest commands God’s prophet to leave the country because he has offended the people, the religious leaders and even the court, all of which are loyal to the Jeroboam leader. Again, this represents a great turn of events!

At that time, God’s very elect will be exiled—but other scriptures show that they will then be taken to a place of protection from the unimaginable devastation that will follow soon after.

A Prophet’s Warning

One way or another, God is going to use Jeroboam—Donald Trump—to save America for a short time. And one way or another, God is going to deliver a warning message to this man through a modern-day prophet. This is the last time God will pass by and offer this man and the people of America and other Israelite nations an opportunity to repent. Failing to heed that message will result in the worst suffering ever on Earth!

The pace of earthshaking events in America and in the world is quickening dramatically. It is bewildering and stunning to many people. But God gives us extraordinary insight showing just how involved He is in shaping these events and where they are leading. Keep your eye on further developments, especially in America, to see how they continue to fulfill this prophetic picture of Amos 7. God is laying it all out to show us our sins and drive us toward repentance!

We must repent if we are to become God’s sons. The Creator of the universe calls us His sons. He wants to give us that universe to rule forever.

God is re-creating Himself in man! As Herbert W. Armstrong said, “This is almost unbelievable, but it’s true!” That is God’s ultimate goal, and the purpose for which He is shaping all these events today. Respond to God’s warning and fulfill the transcendent purpose for which you were created!
