German Bundestag Member Calls on Berlin to Protect Israel From Iran
“In view of the looming Iranian attack, the German government must finally wake up and offer Israel military support to defend itself,” Christian Democratic Union’s foreign-policy expert Roderich Kiesewetter told Der Spiegel in a report published Sunday.
Kiesewetter proposed that Germany do this by joining a United States-led coalition to protect Israel. “It is conceivable that fighter jets from friendly nations could be refueled, but also that the German Army could use its own Eurofighters, for example, to defend against Iranian drones,” he said.
Any support would be defensive, not involving any offensive attacks against Iran or its proxies.
Taking the initiative: “If Israel’s security is really a German matter of state, the federal government, and in particular the Federal Chancellery, must finally pursue realpolitik instead of continuing to nurture romantic hopes,” Kiesewetter said. “That is why the federal government should not wait until Israel asks it for help, but offer it of its own accord and promote it in the Bundestag [parliament] now” (emphasis added).
The real goal: A prophecy in Daniel 11:41 foretells that Germany “shall enter also into the glorious land.” Trumpet editor in chief Gerald Flurry has said that this “in no way indicates the use of force. It appears the Germans will be invited in as peacekeepers.” This will end up being a fatal mistake.
