The Iranian Candidate

Why is Kamala Harris protecting an Iranian spy in the Pentagon?

Vice President Kamala Harris has links to Iranian agents and used her authority to stonewall official investigations.

Last spring, Special Envoy for Iran Robert Malley mysteriously lost his security clearance for classified information without explanation. Then the State Department suspended him and put him on unpaid leave.

A joint investigation by Semafor and Iran International exposed a plan to recruit influential people to lobby for Iranian foreign policy goals. The Iran Experts Initiative (iei) began in 2014, aiming “to aggressively promote the merits of a nuclear deal between Tehran and Washington,” as Semafor put it.

Malley played a key role in negotiating that deal. Two iei members, Ariane Tabatabai and Dina Esfandiary, infiltrated Malley’s inner circle. Tabatabai was a diplomat under Malley in 2021 and later worked as a chief of staff in the Department of Defense. Esfandiary is a senior advisor at the think tank International Crisis Group (icg), which Malley headed between 2018 and 2021. Another member, Ali Vaez, was Malley’s protégé at the icg.

Malley was supposed to be negotiating on behalf of the United States government to curb Iran’s nuclear program. Yet he was surrounding himself with Iranian assets. Somebody with Malley’s connections in the intelligence community probably knew this. For all the public knows, Malley could have been giving Iran state secrets.

While Malley lost his job, most likely because of the iei scandal, Tabatabai remarkably hasn’t. She was probably the biggest reason Malley was compromised, yet she still works at the Pentagon. She still has access to classified information.

Tabatabai has had regular correspondence with the White House. The Washington Free Beacon reviewed visitor logs showing she went to the White House at least eight times after the Semafor and Iran International reports. The latest visit was this April.

Who did Tabatabai meet with? One high-ranking politician Tabatabai apparently has a close relationship with is Harris’s national security advisor, Phil Gordon. Tabatabai and Gordon co-authored at least three opinion pieces in media arguing against sanctioning Iran.

Sen. Tom Cotton and Rep. Elise Stefanik launched a probe into Gordon’s connections with Tabatabai. They requested information from Harris on her relationship with Gordon, asking for an answer by August 9. Harris has yet to respond. “The presence of such an obvious security risk in your inner circle should have elicited your utmost attention,” Cotton wrote in an August 15 follow-up. “It raises the question of whether you’ve been aware of Mr. Gordon’s possible links to the Iranian regime and simply find your policies aligned enough with Tehran’s interests that ties to that regime don’t concern you.”

Iran is the world’s biggest sponsor of Islamic terrorism; it is about to acquire a nuclear bomb and is the driving force in the current war against Israel. Kamala Harris is running to become president of the United States next year.

Before and during Donald Trump’s first presidential term, many opponents claiming his (thoroughly debunked) ties to Russia made him a “Manchurian candidate.” The reference was to a 1962 movie about a U.S. soldier brainwashed by China to do its bidding in Washington. The allegations of Russian collusion were a hoax. But in light of her connections, one could call Harris America’s “Iranian candidate.”

Why the government would go out of its way to deal with a dangerous pariah like Iran makes no rational sense. But the truth is revealed in a biblical passage—relating to ancient Israel but relevant for today.

2 Kings 14:26-27 state: “For the Lord saw the affliction of Israel, that it was very bitter: for there was not any shut up, nor any left, nor any helper for Israel. And the Lord said not that he would blot out the name of Israel from under heaven: but he saved them by the hand of Jeroboam the son of Joash.”

“A man tried to blot out the name of Israel—a very satanic goal,” Trumpet editor in chief Gerald Flurry writes in The King of the South. “It is important to understand the prophetic principle of duality. History is repeating itself today. Just what is the prophetic name of Israel? In our day, the emphasis is on three physical nations of Israel: America, Britain and the Jewish nation in the Middle East.”

“Blotting out the name of Israel” has everything to do with Iran’s inroads in the White House. “Iran’s mullahs publicly say they want to ‘wipe Israel off the map,’” Mr. Flurry continues. “That is another way of saying they want to ‘blot out the name of Israel from under heaven’!”

The question remains as to why America would do this. The answer is that the current leadership “shares the goal to ‘blot out the name of Israel’!”
