Kamala’s Katrina

Kamala’s Katrina

No matter what the Joebama administration claims, the government is not here to help.

Hurricane Helene is one of the deadliest natural disasters to hit the United States in a century. Since 1950, only eight hurricanes have killed more than 100 people, and already 200 have been confirmed killed by Helene. Now Hurricane Milton has intensified into a Category 5 storm and may strike some of the same parts of the Southeast left devastated by Helene.

With a presidential election coming up next month, you would think Joe Biden and Kamala Harris would be doing everything imaginable to save American lives and restore battered communities. They are not. The Biden-Harris administration is by all appearances going out of its way to block ongoing civilian rescue operations.

Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas made headlines not for promising or delivering support but by emphasizing that the Federal Emergency Management Agency (fema) doesn’t have enough funding to last through the hurricane season. Unless Congress passes legislation to increase fema’s budget, Helene survivors likely won’t receive much government assistance at all.

This fact has exasperated many Americans, including Texas Governor Greg Abbott, who recently pointed out that the Biden-Harris administration has spent $650 million on illegal immigrants. Others have been stunned by a fema video call in which a man who prefers to be addressed as “they,” apparently some kind of government official, says that lgbtqia storm survivors need additional resources, and another says that emergency management should shift from the principle “where everything is designed for the greatest good for the greatest amount of people” to the principle of “disaster equity.”

That $650 million came from U.S. Customs and Border Protection, not the fema budget; fema officials just chose how to distribute it. So the spending on illegal immigrants is not the reason fema’s budget has run dry. But the fact remains that the federal government is spending billions on illegal immigrants and pointedly ignoring its own citizens.

Many people are furious that Joe Biden and Kamala Harris are ignoring people’s suffering. Some are characterizing it as “Kamala’s Katrina.” Democrats lambasted President George W. Bush’s response to Hurricane Katrina back in 2005, but they do not seem to recognize that the Biden-Harris administration’s response to Helene is even worse. Not only are Biden and Harris doing practically nothing for hurricane victims, but local law enforcement is threatening private citizens with arrest for trying to rescue stranded people with their personal helicopters and drones.

The government is not here to help.

In one example of who we are now as Americans, Jordan Seidhom, owner of a scrap steel recycling business, was using his own personal helicopter to save people stranded by the floodwaters. But Lake Lure Fire and Emergency Management Asst. Chief Chris Melton jumped into the mix, ordering him out of the area and threatening to have him arrested. Apparently, Melton would rather watch people drown than let an amateur pilot do his job for him. Amazingly, no one from fema or the Biden-Harris administration spoke up in Seidhom’s defense. It is amazing that people stand for this.

fema is offering $750 in “serious need assistance” to help hurricane victims pay for essential items like food, water, baby supplies, medication and other emergency supplies. The State Department is providing local resettlement agencies a one-time payment of $2,375 per refugee. This is all the Biden-Harris administration can find for Americans slammed by the worst storm in North Carolina’s history?

“The greatest national security threat to the American people is posed by these open borders,” Rep. Jodey Arrington argued earlier this year. “The social cost has consistently been well in front of the American people. I don’t think we’ve talked enough about the financial burden to taxpayers and the fiscal impact.” He then quoted statistics from the Federation for American Immigration Reform estimating that illegal immigration costs American taxpayers $9,000 per immigrant when state and local costs are factored in. The true total cost of Biden, Harris and Obama’s insistence on open borders goes well beyond that.

The fact that the Biden-Harris administration allows America’s border crisis to continue while ignoring hurricane victims proves that federal officials care more about potential voters from Third World countries than they care about U.S. citizens (especially when those citizens are conservative Trump supporters). In many ways, the response to Hurricane Helene reminds one of the response to the chemical rail disaster in East Palestine, Ohio, last year. This crisis mainly affects rural areas where most people support Donald Trump, and the government is ignoring it. fema is making all sorts of excuses, but the truth is that the human element of these crises involves a spirit of hatred for conservatives.

The government is abandoning people to die and survivors to ruins. Local officials are even threatening to arrest Americans who are sacrificing their own resources and sometimes risking their own lives to help. This is the reality in an America where the regime hates its own people.

Bible prophecy describes contemporary America: “For the Lord saw the affliction of Israel, that it was very bitter: for there was not any shut up, nor any left, nor any helper for Israel. And the Lord said not that he would blot out the name of Israel from under heaven: but he saved them by the hand of Jeroboam the son of Joash. Now the rest of the acts of Jeroboam, and all that he did, and his might, how he warred, and how he recovered Damascus, and Hamath, which belonged to Judah, for Israel, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?” (2 Kings 14:26-28).

People certainly are suffering bitter affliction, and no one is helping them. God is raising up Donald Trump to defeat the radical left and give Americans some temporary relief. President Trump returned to Butler, Pennsylvania, on Saturday, a dramatic reminder that he was saved from death by nothing less than a miracle and for nothing less than saving America from the unnatural disaster of the radical left.

People—especially conservatives—who are suffering from the East Palestine disaster, from Hurricane Helene, Hurricane Milton and other man-made and natural disasters will likely be on their own until the election. President Trump is coming back: It’s inevitable, as the Trumpet has said since 2020 and before. Yes, he will no doubt take some of the money Biden and Harris are spending on illegals and use it to help suffering American citizens. But as 2 Kings 14 indicates, America is suffering a catastrophe that no amount of money, bravery or human effort can recover from. The fact that Hurricane Helene, Hurricane Milton and other weather and environmental disasters come from powers far beyond any human beings’ control reminds us that God is in the equation, and not just to protect President Trump so we can get back to more sane, comfortable lives. God is punishing this nation for its sins, and He is protecting President Trump and bringing him back into power for the purpose of giving us one last chance to repent of those sins! Those sins, among other things, allowed horrible leaders to seize power in the first place.

The Bible is a book for right now! The Bible prophesies what will happen in our lifetimes—and in detail!

Deuteronomy 28:44 prophesies that if America turns away from God, the “foreigners who reside among you will rise above you higher and higher, but you will sink lower and lower” (New International Version). This prophecy is being fulfilled. “Vote Trump” is not the answer. Americans need to sincerely consider whether they are part of the problem and whether the only true solution is not a candidate or a party but the all-powerful God.
