Russia and China Commit to Strengthen Cooperation

A team of Russian officials traveled to Beijing on Monday where they worked with Chinese authorities to deepen the cooperation between their nations.

Ties that bind: This year marks the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between China and Russia. In recent years, the two have forged an unprecedented “no limits” partnership that is reshaping the global landscape.

The partnership has become especially important since Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, during which China has been the chief enabler of the Russian war machine.

  • As Western nations have tried to economically isolate Russia, China’s trade with it hit $240.1 billion in 2023, more than 64 percent higher than 2021.
  • China has given Russia significant quantities of militarily useful technology such as drones, ball bearings, trucks, excavators and machine tools for tanks.
  • The two have held 28 sets of war games together since 2022 as they prepare to fight shoulder to shoulder.

Russia-China relations are at an all-time high, and during this week’s meeting they worked to further elevate them.

The Trumpet said: The Bible prophesies of a seismic alliance of Asian nations that will have Russia and China at the head, fielding an army larger than the world has ever seen. This is why the Trumpet closely follows Russia and China’s strengthening ties.
