India Supplying Russia With Banned AI Chips

A Mumbai-based pharmaceutical company is playing a key role in exporting militarily useful artificial intelligence technology to Russia in defiance of American and European trade sanctions, Bloomberg reported on October 27.

  • Servers of Malaysian origin worth $300 million are being transported through the Indian company Shreya Life Sciences to Russian companies. The Dell Technology Inc. servers include advanced Nvidia AI processors. These servers, and the Nvidia chips they contain, have been restricted by the United States and European Union in an effort to weaken Russia’s ability to fight in Ukraine.

Alliance: During a meeting with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the sidelines of last week’s brics summit, Russian President Vladimir Putin said the two nations shared a “privileged strategic partnership.” Modi expressed gratitude to Putin for his “strong friendship.”

Concerned: U.S. and EU government officials have traveled to India to encourage the nation to cease these exports of militarily useful material, but their efforts are proving futile. India is now Russia’s second-largest supplier of restricted technology, Bloomberg reported.

Why it matters: The Bible prophesies of a great military alliance of Asian nations called “the kings of the east,” which will include Russia and India. This is why the Trumpet closely watches as India strengthens its ties with Russia.
