Iranian Charged in Plot to Assassinate Donald Trump
The United States has charged an Iranian man who was allegedly ordered by Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (irgc) to assassinate President-elect Donald Trump, the Justice Department said on Friday.
Details:
- Farhad Shakeri told law enforcement officials that he was tasked by the irgc on October 7 to devise a plan to kill Trump.
- Shakeri immigrated to the U.S. as a child but was deported in 2008 after serving in prison for a robbery conviction.
- Two New York residents whom the Iranian met in prison, Carlisle Rivera and Jonathan Loadholt, have also been charged for helping Shakeri plot to kill an Iranian dissident in the U.S.
Iran hates Trump: In his first term, President Trump adopted many anti-Iran policies and imposed economic sanctions on the country to hinder its terrorist agenda. These were reversed by the Biden administration.
For his second term, Trump plans to renew his so-called maximum pressure campaign against Iran, hindering its oil income and nuclear program.
Role in prophecy: This recent plot highlights yet another thwarted attempt to target Mr. Trump as he was fighting his way back to the White House. As the Trumpet has pointed out repeatedly, God will not allow Donald Trump to be taken out until he has fulfilled his role in Bible prophecy.
