German Arms Exports Exceed Previous Record
From January 1 to December 17, the German government approved the export of military equipment worth around €13.2 billion (us$13.7 billion), the Federal Ministry of Economics announced based on preliminary figures. This exceeds 2023’s €12.2 billion and marks a new record.
Breakdown: The main recipients of the exports are:
- Ukraine with €8.1 billion
- Singapore, €1.2 billion
- Algeria, €558.7 million
- United States €298.5 million
- Turkey, €230.9 million
- India, €224 million
- Israel, €161 million
The exports include €8.1 billion for armaments and €5.1 billion for other military equipment.
Strategic reasons: Germany is consistently in the top five of the world’s largest weapons exporters. These exports allow the nation to forge alliances while preparing the industry to arm Germany in the future.
With a well-established industry at the heart of a pulsating Europe, tremendous power is accumulating at the fingertips of an unrestrained Germany.
