Southport Killer Pleads Guilty to Murder of Three Girls

Axel Rudakubana, a terrorist who fatally stabbed three girls and injured 10 others at a dance class in Southport, England, in July, pleaded guilty to charges against him on Monday.

In addition to the murder charges, Rudakubana also pleaded guilty to the attempted murders of eight other children and two adults, manufacturing the poison ricin, and possessing an al Qaeda training manual.

History of violence: Rudakubana had a documented history of violence and obsession with terrorism. The bbc reported that he had been “referred to the government’s counterterrorism Prevent program three times, between 2019 and 2021, over his general obsession with violence.”

  • Two months after being expelled from his high school for threatening to stab a fellow pupil in October 2019, he returned to the school and assaulted another student.
  • Childline, a counseling service for British youth, reported Rudakubana to local authorities in 2019 after he told the service he would bring a knife to school to stab other students.

Cover up: Though British authorities knew of Rudakubana’s obsession with violence as early as 2019 and had “as many as 15 missed opportunities” to stop him, according to the Times, they did not prevent this teenager from committing these atrocities. In fact, after his attack, the current government worked to cover up the details of the crime, particularly that it was terror related.

I have never experienced such a concerted effort by government and left-leaning sections of the media to stifle dissenting voices.
—Matt Goodwin, Daily Mail journalist

There has been a gigantic cover-up from day one. The authorities knew very, very quickly about his expulsion from school, the ricin-making and the al-Qaeda material, yet they refused to class the murders as terror related for fear of the reaction there might have been.
—Nigel Farage, leader of Reform UK

Suffering: Britain is more concerned about being perceived as tolerant to all, including violent extremists, than ensuring the safety of even its most vulnerable citizens. Until it recognizes the source of its problems, Britain will continue to be devastated by such attacks.
