France Threatens Iran With Military Confrontation If Nuclear Talks Fail

France’s foreign minister warned on Wednesday that if an agreement on Iran’s nuclear program cannot be reached, military confrontation is “almost inevitable.”

The window of opportunity is narrow. We only have a few months until the expiration of this (2015) accord. In case of failure, a military confrontation would seem to be almost inevitable.
—Jean-Noël Barrot, French foreign minister

“Iran must never acquire nuclear weapons,” Barrot emphasized.

New agreement: European powers want an agreement to curb Iran’s uranium enrichment activity ahead of the October 2025 deadline when United Nations sanctions related to Iran’s 2015 nuclear accord expire.

United States President Trump is pushing for a deal to restrain the program as well. His pullout of the 2015 Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action in 2018 will make it difficult to make a new agreement. Trump has also threatened military action if Iran refuses to negotiate.

Iran’s response: In response to the threats, Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei said Iran would be forced to make nuclear weapons.

We are not moving toward [nuclear] weapons, but if you make a mistake on the nuclear issue, you will force Iran to move toward that because it has to defend itself. … Iran does not want to do this, but when you apply pressure … [it] will have no choice.
—Ali Khamenei

Last year, Iran made every effort to increase its production of enriched uranium. It is constantly adding new centrifuges and producing larger quantities of 60 percent enriched uranium. This can be easily enriched to 90 percent for nuclear weapons.

The bomb: The Trumpet expects Iran to obtain the bomb because the Bible prophesies Iran will incite a nuclear war against Europe.
