Water for Your Blood
Drinking water can remedy low blood pressure, according to a study in December 2004 conducted by researchers at Imperial College London and St. Mary’s Hospital.
Elderly patients who had problems regulating blood pressure and whose blood pressure fell after standing were asked to drink two glasses of water in the test. All the patients registered a “significant rise” in blood pressure 5 to 13 minutes after drinking (bbc News, January 14).
