‘All the Focus Remains on Europe’
The headline and the quip for this piece I have taken directly off the talk from pundits commenting during cnbc’s coverage of Wall Street Tuesday.
This is so powerfully prophetic!
In just a matter of a few years, since September 2008, we have witnessed the descent of the United States from the position as the world’s greatest trading nation to fourth spot below the European Union—now the world’s greatest trading bloc—with China second to the EU, and Germany third.
But today, “all the focus remains on Europe,” as one analyst put it, and the focus is going to remain on Europe from here on, till that great trading bloc, in whatever form it emerges via the current euro crisis, so dominates global trade that, as the prophecy clearly and very definitively states, “all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies” (Revelation 18:3).
Yes, believe it or not, out of the current euro crisis will emerge a trimmer 10-nation EU combine which will absolutely dominate global trade for a brief moment in time. This to the extent that to receive trading rights with this banking and trading behemoth, one will have to be issued with a permit by its dominant authority (Revelation 13:16-17).
During the latter half of the 20th century, there were “clever” people who laughed at the prospect of a German-led power bloc rising to dominate the world. They continued to ridicule the idea even as Herbert Armstrong, right up to his death in January 1986, consistently prophesied of this phenomenon and of the future impact that it would have on the whole world.
Now that this specific prophecy of the rise of the great northern power is so dramatically, so undeniably and most evidently in play—daily dominating world news—where are the scoffers? They are either so blinded with their heads stuck in the sand of their own desire for “self-fulfillment” or they are so anti-Herbert Armstrong that, though they may admit the reality of Germany’s rise as the paymaster of Europe—holding the whole world to ransom while it mulls its future fiscal moves—they absolutely refuse to give Mr. Armstrong the credit for his remarkable, God-inspired prescience in declaring this prophecy for almost 60 years of his long life.
Indeed, he commenced declaring the inevitability of this prophecy even when Germany lay abjectly in the ashes of World War ii defeat. Then, for well over 30 years, while postwar Germany remained divided asunder by the Berlin Wall, he kept on broadcasting and publishing that same message. Now it’s the stuff of daily headlines. Indeed, the whole world waits on Germany’s decision regarding how to deal with the euro crisis before being game to make any major moves on fiscal and economic policy.
The message that you are going to hear voiced even more loudly over the Key of David television program and read in greater power and clarity in the Trumpet magazine and on this website, week by week, is that this northern power is destined to morph from an apparent present state of crisis and confusion into an electrifyingly dominant power of massive global influence.
Yes, our voice will just get louder, clearer and even more timely in continuing to declare the rise to dominance of a German-led European imperial power till the day arrives when its full impact is felt not just economically by the Anglo-Saxon nations, but, believe it or not, physically in a manner that will leave the aggression of World War ii way behind in the full measure of the extent of its ferocity.
That the rise of this power is a dramatic fulfillment of Bible prophecies leading right on up to Jesus Christ’s return is going to become obvious to anyone with a mind open to check those prophecies in relation to today’s current world events and to prove their veracity (1 Thessalonians 5:21).
A good place to start would be to read our booklet Daniel Unlocks Revelation. It might just help you prepare for that time.
