Yesterday, Elon Musk’s proposal to buy Twitter for $44 billion was accepted by Twitter’s board of directors. The propagandists in the media are furious, calling Musk’s private ownership of Twitter “dangerous for our democracy.” Rachel Maddow on MSNBC went as far as to suggest that this deal is a decision that “could affect the fate of the planet.” Why is the radical left in such an uproar over this deal? As Victor Davis Hanson noted on Fox News, they are terrified that their near-total control over public discourse will now be limited.
