It’s an increasingly unpopular view, but it’s the truth: America is an exceptional nation. But why? Is it because of Americans’ work ethic, the nation’s geography, its mineral and agricultural wealth, or its political or philosophical heritage? These factors contributed to America’s greatness, but are not ultimately responsible for it. In today’s program, Brad Macdonald shows that America’s conception and subsequent success are the result of a specific prophecy made to Abraham 4,000 years ago.

Just over 50 percent of U.S. citizens are proud to be American, according to a recent Fox News poll. Should we be surprised that so few are proud of their country? America’s Communist-infiltrated educational system teaches young people that America is institutionally racist. The mainstream media continually undermine American history and insult the Constitution, meanwhile it glorifies socialism—a system responsible for failed nations like Cuba, Venezuela and Russia. Why are so few Americans proud of their country? Bible prophecy explains what made America great, and it explains why so many Americans have lost pride in that power. For more on this topic, listen to today’s Trumpet Daily Radio Show.

The climate is changing. But the “science” pushed by the mainstream media and biased scientists to explain why it is changing is simply bogus. Humanity is changing the climate—but not for the reasons you so often hear about. God has always given mankind a choice—to obey His law or to reject it. Obedience brings blessings and disobedience brings curses. The Bible says that God is in control of the weather and He will use it to bless or curse mankind. Herbert W. Armstrong asked, “Can you realize that every unhappiness, every evil that has come to humanity, has been the result of transgressing God’s law?” That is the plain truth about climate change you won’t hear anywhere else but the Trumpet. For more on this topic, listen to today’s Trumpet Daily Radio Show.

When Prince Charles married Diana Spencer on July 29, 1981, more than 750 million people watched the royal wedding live on television. To that point, it was the most popular event ever broadcast. It was a fairy-tale romance on display for the whole world to see. At the time, Herbert W. Armstrong wrote an article titled “Britain’s Last Gasp of Joy and Splendor.” That controversial wedding in 1981 was like the beginning of the end for the royal family and the whole of Britain. On today’s Trumpet Daily Radio Show, we look at events that show how far Britain has fallen since that “last gasp of joy and splendor.”

People in America and Britain who hold on to traditional views of morality are a rapidly diminishing group. Recent studies from the Pew Research Center and Gallup reveal that support for issues like homosexual “marriage” and abortion are increasing, especially among groups who generally hold more religious and conservative views. Why are so many in America and Britain compromising on these important issues? Is this really “progress,” or is it actually tearing our nations apart? This and more on today’s Trumpet Daily Radio Show.

Earlier this week, three CNN journalists resigned after running a story that was supposed to back the Trump-Russia collusion narrative. As it turns out, the story was based on one anonymous source and wasn’t backed by any evidence. Then an undercover video surfaced featuring CNN producer John Bonifield. Bonifield admitted the Trump-Russia stories were not true and that he can understand why President Donald Trump would say this is a witch hunt. This is the new age we’re living in—where journalistic ethics are cast aside to improve ratings and rake in more cash. For more, listen to today’s Trumpet Daily Radio Show.

Things are really heating up on the Golan Heights, between Syria and Israel. On Saturday, Sunday and Monday, mortars fired from Syria landed in Israeli territory. Israel’s response was immediate and effective. However, many are beginning to wonder if we are entering a new phase of the Syrian conflict; a phase where Iranian proxies fighting in Syria turn their focus on Israel. On today’s program, guest host Brent Nagtegaal discusses the powerful strategic position Iran now occupies in order to push at Israel with ground forces.

Germany’s foreign intelligence agency, the bnd, spied on the United States government, its armed forces and even private companies for years, Speigel Online reported June 22. Yet this shocking piece of news received almost no attention in the U.S. news media. The BND was: founded by ex-Nazis; filled with Nazi war criminals; run largely by ex-Nazis for the first decade or two of its operation; helped Nazis on the run, including the infamous Adolf Eichmann, hide from justice; Recruited Nazi war criminals like Klaus Barbie known as the “Butcher of Lyon”—as late as 1960; broke German and international law by transferring large numbers of weapons—including tanks, helicopters and fighter jets—to Croat and Bosnian fighters during the 1990s; spied on German journalists between 1992 and 2005; in 2007, destroyed files detailing the Nazi past of the organization’s founders; was accused of covering up for or working with neo-Nazis in 2011; has being spying on foreign journalists since 1999; was caught helping the nsa spy on other European countries, organizations and businesses. Trumpet contributing editor Richard Palmer examines the bnd’s disturbing track record and explains why you should be concerned by the latest revelations.

Before and during World War II, Japan’s military carried out some of the worst brutality in mankind’s history. The wartime ruthlessness and fanaticism of the Japanese were largely driven by their belief that their emperor was a god destined to rule the world. State Shinto became the national religion, promoting an ideology of Japanese racial superiority. By the end of World War II, Japan had been fighting for 14 years. Almost 3 million Japanese were dead, with many more injured or gravely ill. Most of the population was starving, and the nation lay in ruins. But even then, nothing short of two atomic bombs was able to bring a halt to Japan’s perverse military fanaticism. It was then, in the immediate aftermath of that tragic history, that the United States occupied Japan and drafted its constitution. U.S. officials, led by Gen. Douglas MacArthur, wanted to ensure that bellicose fanaticism would not rise again in Japan, so they included Article 9 in the new Constitution. This clause outlawed war as a means for Japan to settle international disputes. “We are committed,” MacArthur said, “to see that the Japanese people are liberated from this condition of slavery.” But today, Japan is taking troubling steps away from pacifism and back toward full militarization. There are also signs that parts of the leadership would welcome a return to emperor worship. Have Japan and the world changed enough to justify modern Tokyo’s return to militarism and nationalism? If not, where is this leading?

Marxist agitators tried to stir up a “day of rage” in London yesterday. “We’ve felt our power. We’ve tasted victory. Now we must escalate our actions to take down this rotten government, which has lost all authority to govern,” wrote the Movement for Justice by Any Means Necessary, one of the main agitators. On today’s show, Trumpet contributing editor Richard Palmer examines the far-left leaders who seek to use any tragedy as an excuse to stir up anger, hatred and even violence against the British government Also on today’s show, Germany could soon be faced with a momentous decision. For the last few years, it has tried to take a middle-ground position between the United States and Russia. It has backed U.S.-led sanctions, while at the same time supporting a major growth of Russian power through the expansion of its gas pipeline network. The Nord Stream 2 pipeline—dubbed the “Molotov-Ribbentrop 2 Pipeline” by the Poles—will allow Russia to use its energy reserves as a precision weapon, cutting off individual nations from vital resources. Now America is poised to slap sanctions on German companies involved in Nord Stream 2. It could soon be decision time for Germany: Will it finally sever ties with Russia or join its eastern neighbor to overthrow the American-led world order?
