Trumpet Hour: New Nuclear Arms Race, Why California Wildfires, Behind the Scenes of the Undefeated Musical, and More
Show Notes
- It was 73 years ago this week that the world’s first atomic strike hit Hiroshima, Japan. Today more and more headlines show nations renewing their interest in nuclear bombs. Some experts say we’re in a new round of the nuclear arms race. How concerned should we be about the prospect of nuclear war?
- California is being scorched by some of the worst wildfires in its history, causing terrible damage and even claiming several lives. Why are such disasters happening and with such frequency? We’ll talk about a cause that most analysts are unwilling to discuss.
- Visitors to the “Seals of Isaiah and King Hezekiah Discovered” archaeology exhibit in Edmond, Oklahoma, this weekend will have the opportunity to see a musical telling the history highlighted by those artifacts. We’ll talk with Ryan Malone, the composer and star of Undefeated: The Story of Isaiah and Hezekiah.
- And we’ll conclude with a few words about kicking your kids outdoors!
