Proverbs for a Cursed Nation
Show Notes
- The Trumpet looks at world events through the lens of the Bible. On today’s show, we’re going to look at several current news items specifically in light of one particular biblical book: the book of Proverbs.
- It was written some 3,000 years ago, but many of its precepts provide astounding insight into the social and political conditions of today, particularly within America, Britain and other English-speaking nations.
- It describes with stunning accuracy how human nature is expressing itself in today’s headlines: the problems that result from poor leadership, double standards, lies and deceit, bribery and corruption, hatred among peoples.
- It shows the blessings that come from righteous rulers, from impartial justice, from genuine concern for even the poorest citizens. It shows how the problems of today will be corrected and the effects of the coming rule of God on Earth.
