Week in Review: China Stands With Battered Russia
Show Notes
- Xi Jinping and Vladimir Putin met face-to-face yesterday, a strong show of China’s support for Russia despite the war in Ukraine, and reaffirming the friendship between these two Asian giants.
- As Ukraine forces make impressive advances, Russia’s military is taking a beating, and its reputation is too. Many are saying we’re about to see the fall of Vladimir Putin, if not Russia itself. Others say the chances of Russia escalating the war are increasing exponentially.
- Germany’s chancellor and defense minister spoke this week about boosting the nation’s defense spending and leading Europe militarily, reflecting Germany’s changing attitude toward its military.
- We also talk about Iran being invited to join the Shanghai Cooperation Organization; the FBI seizing Mike Lindell’s phone; a right-wing political victory in Sweden; Iran-backed militia groups, including Hezbollah, pulling out of Syria; and a really bad day for America’s stock market.
