Israel Shifts Right, Returns Netanyahu to Power
Show Notes
- In elections yesterday, Israelis voted for what will be the most right-wing, conservative, religious government in Israel’s history. And it will be led by none other than a man many people wanted to bury permanently, politically—Benjamin Netanyahu.
- Nobel Peace Prizes were just awarded to three human rights groups. We hear from one of them—the director of a museum in Moscow for Russia’s oldest human rights organization—about their work in Russia against the backdrop of the war in Ukraine.
- Insufficient sleep has a lot of negative effects, and one of them is unwanted weight gain. We learn why poor sleep can put on pounds, and get some tips on turning bad sleep habits around.
- And we conclude by talking about why it’s important to be an encouraging person, and some practical ways to do so.
