Democratic elites say that if the 45th president runs for office again, our democracy will die. Is that really what they are afraid of?

Throughout his presidency, United States President Barack Obama routinely offered concessions to authoritarian regimes without demanding anything in return. And with just seven days left in office, he’s done it again. Mr. Obama gave in to demands from Cuba to stop the “wet foot, dry foot” policy for Cuban refugees, effectively closing the U.S. to those fleeing prison in Cuba. The move is all the more disingenuous when you consider that America’s southern border with Mexico has been left wide open. On today’s show, Stephen Flurry discusses this latest decision from the outgoing president and also why the U.S. military isn’t as strong as most people believe it to be.

Since the beginning of this year, the Obama administration has said that the transfer of $400 million to Iran and the return of United States prisoners in Iran on the same day were unrelated issues. President Barack Obama and his staff stressed that the U.S. does not pay ransom. He even said the idea that it was a ransom was “the manufacturing of outrage” by those opposed to the administration. This week, however, the U.S. State Department admitted the two actions were related and that it was—though still refusing to call it as such—a ransom. On today’s show, Stephen Flurry digs into the latest on this event and also continues the discussion from the previous show on how to develop as a cultured individual.
