What Is God’s Secret?

The biblical book of Amos is for this end time. The Prophet Amos talks about a secret regarding the Church of God (spiritual Israel) and three modern nations descended from ancient Israel. Why is it so important for you to understand God’s secret? Because understanding it leads to an unparalleled reward in the World Tomorrow, plus many blessings in the world today.

Knowing this secret is the only way to enter God’s Kingdom!

Warning Before Punishment

“Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the Lord hath not done it?” (Amos 3:6). The Soncino commentary says, “Shall the horn be blown in a city, and the people not tremble?” When the alarm of war sounds, we should be really concerned.

“Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets” (verse 7). God has sent out one prophet after another over the years to warn of what is coming. He always reveals His secret to a man.

“The lion hath roared, who will not fear? the Lord God hath spoken, who can but prophesy?” (verse 8). God’s warning is so urgent, anyone who hears should be bursting to pass it on!

Notice the dominant mentality in God’s own Church during these urgent times: “But ye … commanded the prophets, saying, Prophesy not” (Amos 2:12). Ninety-five percent of God’s own people have rebelled in this end time. They tell God’s loyal people to stop delivering His warning message. But God commands us to warn!

God’s work today has a type of Amos, a warning from God through a man. So what is God’s secret?

The Anchor Bible Commentary says Amos 1-2 describe a fiery nuclear holocaust. God is “declaring judgment on the entire region as a unit. This unity suggests one cosmic holocaust,” it states. This holocaust will be so bad, it will wreck the Earth and even part of the heavens! Nothing like this has ever happened before—not even close.

“Not just several invasions that would pick off these countries one by one,” Anchor continues. “Amos likens it to that fire that destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah. It is called ‘fire from heaven’ (Genesis 19:24).” This is about the Great Tribulation and the Day of the Lord! God tells His very elect, a small remnant of loyal believers, how to escape all of this. He promises protection.

This earthshaking crisis leads directly into the Second Coming of Jesus Christ.

How can you be sure you know God’s secret, which is the key to escaping the coming punishment and being rewarded tremendously forever? This secret is deadly dangerous, yet it will not harm God’s loyal people. He will preserve those who deliver His truth to the world with power.

Here are three points you must apply to know God’s secret.

1. Become a Passionate Part of God’s Family.

“Hear this word that the Lord hath spoken against you, O children of Israel, against the whole family which I brought up from the land of Egypt …” (Amos 3:1). God chose to make Israel an example nation to the entire world, but the Israelites have failed. They need to listen to Him now.

However, this verse refers mainly to a spiritual family. In the Bible, Egypt is a type of sin and the world. God has called a select few out of the world and taught His secret to them so they can teach it to all mankind.

Some of God’s own spiritual family now tell us not to prophesy! Meanwhile, God is thundering with all the power of His Holy Spirit, through His loyal people, that you must prophesy! Heeding God’s warning is our only hope physically. It’s the only way to save our physical lives from the unbelievable wreckage that is coming.

“You only have I known of all the families of the earth: therefore I will punish you for all your iniquities” (verse 2). Those of us with a history with God have learned so much about His secret. God has known us, which means we’re like spiritual lovers in a marital relationship. Physical marriage points us to our future spiritual marriage to Jesus Christ! He wants us to show Him the deepest kind of love—real dedication. But many in God’s little flock have grown lukewarm and will be punished.

God says to the 5 percent that remain loyal, I will give you my secret! You will know exactly what I am doing in this end time, particularly in three nations of Israel.

God is asking us to build an amazing love in our lives, ridding ourselves of the hatred and evil that are rampant in the world. We must become a passionate part of God’s Family, bound very close to Him like a loving married couple. This is how to receive protection!

2. Agree With God.

God is our Father. Jesus Christ can be our Husband if we are firstfruits today. We have the potential to rule from David’s throne with Christ over the whole universe!

“Can two walk together, except they be agreed?” (Amos 3:3). We can’t walk with God if we don’t agree with Him. The whole word is deceived (Revelation 12:9). They disagree with God. They don’t know His secret, even if they think their religion is right. How important is it for us to remove deception and know God so we can really agree with Him?

3. Fear What the Lord Has Spoken.

“Will a lion roar in the forest, when he hath no prey? will a young lion cry out of his den, if he have taken nothing?” (Amos 3:4). A lion roars loudly when he’s about to pounce! God is really talking about the Lion of the tribe of Judah, Jesus Christ (Revelation 5:5).

Do you fear the Lion’s roar? Are you shaken by the Word of God? God wants us to hear Him. He wants to help us. But He will not force us to choose life over death (Deuteronomy 30:19).

“Can a bird fall in a snare upon the earth, where no gin is for him? shall one take up a snare from the earth, and have taken nothing at all?” (Amos 3:5). An unsuspecting bird wanders into a trap that seems totally harmless. Suddenly, the trap springs shut and kills the bird! God’s punishment on our nations will come upon us suddenly, like a trap. We must be prepared, or else we will fall into it.

God won’t force us to obey Him, but He will soon force everyone to see where we are sinning against Him in a massive way.

“Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets. The lion hath roared, who will not fear? the Lord God hath spoken, who can but prophesy?” (verses 7-8). God will always reveal His secret to a prophet, who will always warn the nations before anyprophecies are fulfilled. God won’t do anything at all before this happens. When the Lion is about to pounce, Israel receives God’s warning.

Look around you. This world is falling apart. Seeing this and knowing God’s secret should make you tremble before God!

God reveals His secret so we can turn from our wicked ways and escape physical suffering. The Lion has roared! We must deliver the message by supporting this work!

God asks our nations, “Why will you die, O house of Israel?” (Ezekiel 33:11). He isn’t eager to punish, but it’s the only way people will finally realize that their own ways have failed. He has given the world every opportunity to turn away from wickedness, but they haven’t.

God commands us to “publish in the palaces” (Amos 3:9). We publish His truth in books, booklets and magazines, all absolutely free of charge. He freely gave His secret to us, so we freely give it to all who will listen (Matthew 10:8).
