Daniel and the Second Coming of Christ

This world has seen some horrific suffering. Russia’s attack on Ukraine has left many in the world greatly distressed. Parts of Asia, especially China, think what Russian President Vladimir Putin is doing is just fine.

We hear a lot about a nuclear World War iii. Just one nuclear bomb can vaporize a huge city and leave it without inhabitants. This is the world in which we live—our number one problem is the question of human survival!

Think about the horror of this world. What is wrong? What are we going to do to solve these problems?

Look around—at the Russia-China axis, the European powers and elsewhere—all of this is leading directly into the Second Coming of Jesus Christ! But who really believes this? It’s what your Bible teaches. We have said so for many years. Bible prophecy is coming to pass.

Vladimir Putin will face Christ Himself and be conquered by Him. God will stop the madness and suffering of this world—forever!

Five Kingdoms

The biblical book of Daniel makes it all clear. King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon had a dream that he couldn’t understand. He asked Daniel to interpret it. God gave Daniel the meaning—the most exciting and wonderful news you could ever hear! “This is the dream; and we will tell the interpretation thereof before the king. Thou, O king, art a king of kings: for the God of heaven hath given thee a kingdom, power, and strength, and glory” (Daniel 2:36-37). Daniel told Nebuchadnezzar, You’re the king of Babylon. You rule the whole world. God has given that to you.

“And after thee shall arise another kingdom inferior to thee, and another third kingdom of brass, which shall bear rule over all the earth” (verse 39). The two kingdoms after Babylon were Medo-Persia and Greco-Macedonia (led by Alexander the Great).

“And the fourth kingdom shall be strong as iron: forasmuch as iron breaketh in pieces and subdueth all things: and as iron that breaketh all these, shall it break in pieces and bruise. And whereas thou sawest the feet and toes, part of potters’ clay, and part of iron, the kingdom shall be divided; but there shall be in it of the strength of the iron, forasmuch as thou sawest the iron mixed with miry clay. And as the toes of the feet were part of iron, and part of clay, so the kingdom shall be partly strong, and partly broken. And whereas thou sawest iron mixed with miry clay, they shall mingle themselves with the seed of men: but they shall not cleave one to another, even as iron is not mixed with clay” (verses 40-43). This union of 10 European nations will be partly strong and partly weak. Nevertheless, it will have a lot of power!

“Thus he said, The fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth, which shall be diverse from all kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth, and shall tread it down, and break it in pieces. And the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise: and another shall rise after them; and he shall be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue three kings” (Daniel 7:23-24).

The fourth world-ruling kingdom—the Roman Empire—started with three barbarian resurrections, then transitioned into seven resurrections of the Holy Roman Empire, the last of which is rising today. “And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time” (verse 25). The Holy Roman Empire doesn’t like God’s saints. We are about to enter the last 3½ years before Christ’s return. The first 2½ years of this “time and times and the dividing of time” is the Great Tribulation; the last year is the Day of the Lord.

After this black nightmare comes our Savior! “And the kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdom under the whole heaven, shall be given to the people of the saints of the most High, whose kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey him” (verse 27).

“And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever” (Daniel 2:44). Now that is an amazing prophecy! The fifth world-ruling kingdom will not be ruled by human beings. God will not leave His Kingdom in the hands of men. He has His own rulers who are preparing for that responsibility right now.

Rulers in the world today are not qualified! They are a pitiful spectacle. But God says that’s all about to change. His firstfruits throughout the ages are forming a spiritual nation that will rule as kings and priests next to Jesus Christ on David’s throne over the universe forever and ever.

Those who deliver God’s message and do God’s Work before the Second Coming will be qualified to rule in the Kingdom of God!

Watch Germany

“Europe’s Dirty Secret,” according to Time magazine in 1999 and 2008, is that American nuclear bombs are located in Belgium, the Netherlands, Italy, Turkey and Germany. America has given these nations somewhere in the vicinity of 200 thermonuclear bombs—enough to destroy the whole world. Is that wise? We’re about to see that it is not.

Germany, a very wealthy country, never pays its agreed-upon 2 percent of gross domestic product to nato, yet America gives it bombs and may even give it jets to haul those bombs. We are also upgrading the B-61 bombs stationed in Germany.

Is Germany our friend? We have prophesied for over 75 years that Germany will lead the seventh resurrection of the Holy Roman Empire—and that it will not be our friend. How many people understand that?

Many Germans don’t think much of America. A few years ago, one of their top leaders talked about his utter contempt for Donald Trump. The sentiment is just as bad with Joe Biden. Where is all this leading?

At the end of World War ii, British Prime Minister Winston Churchill and U.S. President Franklin Delano Roosevelt pledged never to allow Germany to rise and arm itself again! Never again. Germany started both world wars and has been a warrior nation going back to ancient history.

The stark truth about Germany is that it tried to keep people from even helping Ukraine. It wouldn’t let Britain fly over Germany to take arms to Ukraine. How do you explain that? What is going on in their minds? Why would they help Russia? They must have made a deal with Russia, just like they did before World War ii. The help that Germany is offering Ukraine is a facade. We need to wake up.

Think about the 200 U.S. bombs sitting in Europe. We don’t have very much control over those. What will happen to them?

Germany has decided to double its military budget. When Chancellor Olaf Scholz made this announcement before the Bundestag, he received a standing ovation! If we really understood what is going on here, we would be trembling, not clapping.

“And in the latter time of their kingdom, when the transgressors are come to the full, a king of fierce countenance, and understanding dark sentences, shall stand up” (Daniel 8:23). A German strongman is about to come on the scene—almost surely this year or next. He will be the strong leader that Europe is searching for, someone to stand up to Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping. He will understand “dark sentences” from an evil spirit that rules this world. He will have a mind change (Habakkuk 1:11; Isaiah 10:5-7). Doing evil will then come naturally to him, even though he can’t imagine behaving this way now.

“And his power shall be mighty, but not by his own power: and he shall destroy wonderfully, and shall prosper, and practise, and shall destroy the mighty and the holy people” (Daniel 8:24). This wicked ruler, empowered by the devil, will put to death God’s lukewarm people.

“And through his policy also he shall cause craft to prosper in his hand; and he shall magnify himself in his heart, and by peace shall destroy many: he shall also stand up against the Prince of princes; but he shall be broken without hand” (verse 25). The German strongman will battle Vladimir Putin, but then they will join forces to fight Jesus Christ when He returns. Putin alone will command a force of 200 million soldiers. Christ will wipe out their armies and fill the Valley of Jehoshaphat with their blood for 200 miles. That’s a lot of blood! Christ will speak to them in the only language they understand: violence.

“And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book” (Daniel 12:1). God will protect His loyal people.

Notice their reward: “And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt. And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever” (verses 2-3). Those who commit their lives to God and do His Work before Christ returns will shine like stars for all eternity!

“Blessed is he that waiteth, and cometh to the thousand three hundred and five and thirty days” (verse 12). Soon, we will reach a point when we are counting down the exact days until the Second Coming. “Blessed” here means we will experience the bliss of all blisses.

Christ is about to come to Earth to bring us peace, joy and happiness forever. What a beautiful vision. What a wonderful opportunity for us to do God’s Work until then.

“But go thou thy way till the end be: for thou shalt rest, and stand in thy lot at the end of the days” (verse 13). We are living in “the end of the days,” just before the Second Coming. Be thankful. Get your mind on that future and off the problems of this world, which will only worsen until Christ makes a big change.
