Germany Presents Eight-Point Plan for Syria

German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock appointed Minister of State Tobias Lindner as a special coordinator for Syria and presented an eight-point plan for the nation’s future on December 11. The plan includes:

  1. Peaceful transfer of power in the country
  2. Establishing an international consensus
  3. Dialog with the Hayat Tahrir al-Sham militia
  4. Reconstruction of the country
  5. Legal and political reappraisal of the Assad regime
  6. Ensuring chemical weapons don’t fall into the wrong hands
  7. German diplomatic presence
  8. Return of Syrian refugees

An opportunity for Germany:

The new Syria could become a key partner for Germany in the Middle East region in the future. Taking in a good million Syrians during the civil war has automatically led to close ties between the two countries. Germany is now being shaped by Syrians, but this can also work in the opposite direction. In the long term, German influence in a new, modern Syria could be expanded, politically, culturally, but also economically. In the business world, this is called “return on investment.”

Syria’s shift was prophesied: In his article “Iran Is Losing Syria to Germany,” Trumpet editor in chief Gerald Flurry wrote:

Many Arab nations oppose Iran, but Syria has been an ally. Through it, Iran gained critical access to the Mediterranean Sea and a base to supply its terrorist proxies and to attack Israel. For years Syria has played a crucial role in Iran’s dominant presence in the Middle East.

But Bible prophecy indicates that through Syria, Germany is about to get control of the Middle East instead!
