Iran Reveals New Underground Naval Base

Iran unveiled a new underground naval base on Saturday in the latest sign that despite recent setbacks, the Islamic Republic is nowhere near defeated.

Details: The base is designed to house vessels capable of long-distance strikes. Iran is building up its abilities to attack Israel and its allies. According to state media, the base is 500 meters deep and located somewhere in the Persian Gulf. It contains long rows of “a new version of Taregh-class radar-evading speedboats, which can launch cruise missiles.”

Iran revealed the base two days before Donald Trump was inaugurated as president of the United States. Trump says he will back Israel and bankrupt Iran.
